I’ve never had much respect for Geraldo, but this time he really nails it. He pulls no punches in this well-written, factual article and it should be read by everybody.
Brown is huge.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Why the delay? the police likely did not wish to disclose evidence
I’d like to think that it was planned that way. My guess is the cops had a pretty good idea of what happened soon after the incident. What better way to make all of the thugs and the outa town race baiters look like frigging indiots than to let ‘em make asses out of themselves for a few days and then lower the boom. I’d say the coppers sandbagged these guys pretty good.
“Whoraldo”...
Not a “minor shoplifting”, just a few like that over time can kill a business.
My take is that if the coroner’s report shows GSW on the Dead cigar bandit it supports the reported officers account of the fight over the gun and discharge in the cruiser, he crossed the line and lethal force was necessary/justified. Bull rushing the cop after that was just saying ‘I wants to win the Darwin award of the week’.
GSW on his hands...
He's a lawyer by training, and actually worked briefly for the New York City police department early in his career as an internal investigator. If you go back through his career, I'll bet you'd find that his reporting on stories like this involving police matters is typically thorough and objective.
From reports that I’ve seen, the “kid” is 6’ 4” and about 290 pounds. That’s a very large “kid”.
..............hmmm..............good take. Hate to show my ignorance but what is GSW? I presume it is some kind of drug. If so, your right and that will explain the whole thing. Obviously the cop, having good sense, was not about to let this 290 lb guy high on something have a second go at him. If this turns out to be the case, I don’t blame him.
Sorry, mistype. Meant GSR
Gunshot Residue.
If he was fighting with the cop struggling over the gun in the cops vehicle when it discharged he’ll have trace evidence on his hands/wrists.
..........the thing I think you have steered me to is toxicology. If he were HIGH on some drug, that could corroborate the allegation that he “bull charged the cop”.........
IF he did “bull charge” the cop while HIGH and after being whipped up on pretty bad once a minute or so earlier, the cop was within his rights to fire.
Simple as that, and those bullets once airborne don’t have a recall feature!
And, this helps explain a second autopsy.
