Guy needs to get a life.
Yeah, right.
As it is, I think it's just a shakedown...unless I missed something in the article that shows where the disabled in general benefited.
Guy is eventually going to file a suit against the wrong club and he’s going to disappear somewhere in the swamps of Jersey.
California had that problem for a few years, and finally put a stop to it by "discovery" of the application of the legal concept of justice called barratry.
What a self serving use of exploitation of misery for the crude purpose of profit!

This guy might want to be a bit careful. NYC is still a tough town and I’d guess the east river might be a tough swim for a double amputee.
This being New York, I’m surprised that somebody hasn’t contacted some “insurance salesmen” about this guy being bad for business. Not too long ago, he would have gone for a swim in a concrete wheelchair.
On the other hand, Ralph Lauren has been suing polo organizations — people who actually play the sport — claiming that they are infringing his Polo Ralph Lauren
trademark. So the lawsuit against Lauren can be considered karma. Maybe someday the disabled activist will get his karma payback too.
Didn’t they call the swamps of Jersey the Pines, or the Barrens at one time? Someone will one day dig up Jimmy Hoffa while trying to bury someone and make a fortune from the story after he gets out of the pen.
