Think Progress, a website operated by the liberal Center for American Progress, failed to vet a phony story which claimed that Minnesota U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann proposed Americanization labor camps for Central American unaccompanied children.
Im calling on all of us, Obama and Congress and everyone, to chip in and build special new facilities Americanization facilities, if you will, Bachmann said, according to Think Progress, which has since corrected its embarrassing flub. [ ]
Think Progress published the erroneous story on Sunday but corrected it and issued an apology after another liberal website, the Raw Story, pointed out the massive hoax. [ ]
The websites Crooks and Liars and Daily Kos are two other liberal outlets that fell for the fake story.

They saw it on the internet, so it must be true...............
To be accomplished in 24 business hours.
They also fell for the story from Obama and continue to do so.
Like with the disappearance of the first Malaysian Airliner, there was story about Sarah Palin that she "Thought The Airplane flew too close to heaven and crashed there" or some such non-sense.
It was 100% fake of course, but that didn't stop it from running through the Gutter Press. AND The Tabloids.
Just troll these people by saying things they THINK we would say >:(
Michele Bachmann has been visiting the border lately, I am sure she was less than impressed.
Nothing strikes fear in the heart of a Progressive like the idea of Americanization.
Funny!
TP also defends ISIS
Fake but accurate. The motto of the “Dan Rather School of Journalism.”
why don’t they use the camps built during the Bush administration? sad to think there might be a need for reeducation camps to teach American citizens how to be Americans. what a disturbing vision.
The best “re-education camp” against liberalism is the traditional family. That’s why Marxists, Fabianists and other leftists are utterly against it.
Amusing to watch the liberals try to defend themselves when they find out theyve been taken in.
When they thought the story was real, they pointed to it as proof of bachmann’s craziness. Then when they find out its a hoax, they point to the fact that they fell for it as proof of bachmann’s craziness.
“Well it sounds like something she would say”. The same thing they say when they fall for a phony story about palin.
And actually, that’s not a bad idea...we should try it with some of our home-grown as well. (is < /sarc > necessary?)
