The article is a fun analogy, not sure if it is a good analogy, I enjoy Foghat’s “Slow Ride”, “I just want to make love to you”<—— Their cover does rock. Though some of the others like “Fool for the city” aren’t something I will actively seek out, it’s okay on the radio.

Foghat’s best.

The author is only half right. Liberalism
is nothing but a 70's greatest hits album, but Conservatism - even the Tea Party brand - is a Burl Ives Christmas Special from 1975.
Young people don't like Democrats much, but Democrats still look better to them than the alternative we are presenting...because our leaders don't believe in individual freedom any more than liberal leaders do.

.....because our leaders don't believe in individual freedom any more than liberal leaders do. I think you're confusing conservatism with those who purport to represent it (GOP-e).

I like your analogies better
But hey, Burl Ives did get flagged back in the day though I don't think there was a lot to it.

I want some of what this guy is smoking.

Punk was originally a rebellion against the Hippies, who after Woodstock became the mainstream.

Correction: Young people like Democrats better because of better marketing on the Dems’ part and terrible marketing on the part of the Republicans and others.
