Hoping to stem the recent surge of migrants at the Southwest border, the Obama administration is considering whether to allow hundreds of minors and young adults from Honduras into the United States without making the dangerous trek through Mexico, according to a draft of the proposal.
If approved, the plan would direct the government to screen thousands of children and youths in Honduras to see if they can enter the United States as refugees or on emergency humanitarian grounds. It would be the first American refugee effort in a nation reachable by land to the United States, the White House said, putting the violence in Honduras on the level of humanitarian emergencies in Haiti and Vietnam, where such programs have been conducted in the past amid war and major crises.

Clearly, this would not pass Congress, as it bypasses or makes redundant legal immigration.
Chicago isn’t in Honduras.

So rather than turn back the invasion — Hussein wants to facilitate it.
Better idea: Ship the invaders who are here back to Honduras for evaluation.

Don’t get me wrong. I am very much in favor of more Latin American immigration, because Obama took away from the Latin American quota to give it to people from Muslim lands ONE DAY after he took office, so some of the problems we are facing are because the quota was already inadequate and was made more so by one Barry Obama.
But how in the world can he just declare that suddenly he’s going just wave all these people through? First of all, they’re not “refugees,” and secondly, where does he plan to send them?
And has Congress had anything to say about this? I doubt it. He’s just doing another administrative coup.
This is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard. And that’s pretty hard, with Obama in the WH.
Insanity. This wouldn’t stem anything, since these kids are not counting on actually getting residency status as a reason to come here. They know, if they only answer a few questions right, they will be allowed to stay until a hearing, and by then they are lost in the immigrant underground.
So any that we rejected down in Honduras would still come here. We’d just be giving some “qualified” ones a fast-pass.

We have a real unemployment rate of 23% and an overwhelmed social services safety net.
What we need is a moratorium on ALL immigration.
If fleeing gang violence is now the standard for refugee status, what do we say to people who want to move out of Detroit or the south side of Chicago because of gang violence? Obama is going nuts.
So we get the same invasion, just without the optics of thousands of people sneaking across the border.
