In my interview with Auburn native John Walsh Friday about his new CNN show, "The Hunt with John Walsh," I asked him about the public reaction to his comments about gun control and the NRA.
What followed was a lengthy conversation on the subject, one whose entire contents I couldn't even begin to fit into my original story.
Here's more of what he had to say:

John Walsh is dead to me.
Fascist, elitist, idiot
...you want more money in the bank.
...play both sides of the fence.
Did he leave the mother of his son for another woman?
Almost everything he is saying is a problem of the heart and soul, not guns!
He sold out his principles a long, long time ago for fame and notoriety and wealth.
CNN disease.
"They're just trying to not die of a broken heart and make sense of why some nutcase came into their child's school with extended rounds or cop-killer bullets."
tells me all I need to know about the new kid on the block. Extended rounds? Wazzat? a longer bullet?
"Cop-killer" bullets? (An old Chuckie Schumer POS phrase that is meaningless, unless the bullet was used to kill a cop--and that could be any bullet).
He is more of the same scum from the same pond.
Sorry to hear his kid got killed. Sometimes you can't make sense of the things that happen (which is why we call those events "senseless"), and you just have to accept that The Almighty know what He is doing.
Still, if you want to prevent that sort of slaughter, concentrate on those who perpetrate it--not lawful gun owners. End the revolving door approach to prison, strip those places down to where no one would want to go there, and where death row has a higher turnover rate. As for illegals, a serious part of the equation, close the border, and ship them home.
Well, maybe if any of ABCNNBC had covered "Fast and Furious", he'd have a clue just who put those firearms in the hands of the Cartels.
IIRC, but I could be mistaken, wasn’t his child found headless and no evidence of guns used in the crime?
Shhhh, don't let the facts get in the way of a good anti-gun rant.
Some fishermen found his head but the rest of him was never recovered.
Must have been one powerful and awesomely destructive ‘gun’ that did that.
I was born in Auburn.
Walsh obviously does not understand the 2nd amendment. Who cares what other countries think about our freedom to own guns? The cartels get most of their weapons from S America not the USA. I’m sure he has no concept of the link between registration and confiscation. He’s really just another misguided celebrity.
His killer choked him to death and actually kept Adam’s head in his car for several days.
Sick and evil bastard. If there’s a hell he is burning in it.
I’m sure the Mexican cartels get a lot of their weapons from the corrupt Mexican military.
As for Walsh, he’s hung out with the gun-grabbing, corrupt, fascist police chiefs for so many years, he’s developed the same diseased, screwed-up mentality.
“Im sure the Mexican cartels get a lot of their weapons from the corrupt Mexican military.”
Yes that’s true and a lot of the weapons were originally given to the Mexican military by the US. So when these US weapons show up in the cartel hands the govt was trying to tell everyone that they got these guns through buying them from straw purchasers in the US. Not true. They also buy a large amount of weapons through the S American market.
He’s for “reasonable gun control,” and immediately cites the murder rate in Chicago. If Chicago’s massive index of anti-gun laws doesn’t constitute “reasonable” in Walsh’s mind, what does? His problem is that he’s made the leap from grieving father to celebrity and, in the process, lost his soul. Or sold it.
