One of the largest collections of military machines in the United States is being auctioned July 11-12 in California.
It was curated over the years by the late Jacques Littlefield, who housed the collection at his Military Vehicle Technology Foundation in Portola Valley.

Link does not go to story.
Don’t know how the original link could have gotten munged, but just tried this one again and it worked:
There is some great video of the old tanks and AFV
That one worked. Thanks!
Go for it. I’ll be the invisible one in brown clothes blending in and heading out of sight. I appricite you taking all the attention though.
I recall a Bill Mauldin cartoon, Willie and Joe, slogging in the mud, being offered a ride on a tank.

Local police departments are ready to put in their bids.

My dad called tanks “armored coffins”.
ref the movie "Tank"
LOL

After Littlefields death in 2009, the collection was acquired by the Collings Foundation, an educational organization whose mission is to preserve the history of military automobiles and aircraft.
So they sell it for cash. To do what???
BTW, I went to the link and the video wasn't there.
My wife got to drive Jacque’s Scorpion. Jacues was an extremely talented engineer and his brother is a talented musician who used to jam with the Dead. Jacques also loved music. He had an incredible music room with the largest private;y owned pipe organ in the US.
Did you not use post #4?
