Drug charges against a prominent Leesburg businessman were dropped today prior to a preliminary hearing in Loudoun County General District Court due to a lack of evidence. Thomas C. Watson, 41, was arrested March 19 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute after police said a package with oxycodone and MDMA was delivered to his Leesburg home. ...
He did not accept the packages - in fact he rejected them. He wrote on the packages 'Return to Sender' and 'Wrong Recipient.' They were placed in his car to take to the post office for return, Marilyn Rust, acting as Watson's spokesperson, told the Times-Mirror in a written statement in March. It was the police who opened the package.

Just a warning.
If you get a package you do not want, leave it be and call the post office or whoever to pick it back up.
Something does not make sense here. Why would the police track the package unless they knew what was in it? Sounds like a set up and this guy should sue their pants off.
I agree, IMO it WAS a set-up....could this guy be a conservative? Maybe he ticked off someone in the police union....
Dirty cops.
“Dirty cops.”
Sure sounds like it. I think I do remember that MD story. Was that Mayor a black guy?
I mean, it’s a little suspicious if you are tracking a package that goes to a wrong address....and you end up at the wrong address too...something not kosher right there
They also ransacked their home while holding them at gun point.
Ping!
$$$$$
Hopefully lots and lots.
Sounds like a setup job. Since when would the Feds be so diligent in tracking such a small quantity of drugs? This is the same Fed that allows MS-13 members to come and go across our borders with impunity. The same Fed that not only allows an avalanche of illegals into this country, but is now providing free chartered jet service for the illegals.
Sounds like the beginning of a political vendetta. With its’ affluence and swelling population of transplants (non-Virginians), I expect Loudoun to go the way of Fairfax County and eventually become a liberal stronghold. That’s a major part of the problem in America - conservatives build a successful area, then liberals rush in and change the climate, usually with a socialistic attitude as they want to give away what the founders earned and built.
