Great...as long as it doesn't fall in the hands of enemies. Obama ships the first crate to ISIS (or whatever the hell they're called now) Monday.

Pentagon Successfully Tests First Small-Caliber, Self-Guided Bullets First time I've heard 0.50 caliber bullets described as 'Small-Caliber'. The media would point out this could only be used by an automatic weapon. I know, I know, they'd still do it.
I wonder who this will first be used on. 50/50 the 50 Cal will wind up being used against Tea Party members.

I was making fuse timers for shells in the 1980s. The ability of electronics that small to adsorb that kind of shock and still work in that scale is indeed extraordinary.

I thought that Arlen Specter's "Magic Bullet" was the first field test of a self-guided bullet.
That was back in 1963.

First, SMALL caliber? A .50 is now classified as a small caliber? So I guess a .308 is a mini cal and a .22 would be a micro cal? The REAL problem I see in the picture (did anyone else see it since I haven’t read all the comments yet) is there’s a pack of CAMEL cigs in the range bag. Don’t they know those things will kill ya’? Okay, goin’ to the garage for a Marlboro now. ;>}
