Yes I hope that every person survives and that the damage is minimal, but sometimes I really think that they are awful because they are always yelling for Americans to get off “their” island.

I hope the naval base at Sasebo is empty soon because it looks like they could get a direct hit from a cat 3-4 storm.

I have a feeling that by Friday, this will be a non-event (at least in Tokyo). The JMA is pretty good, so I hope the rest of Japan comes through OK.

It is hard to believe a modern journalist could write such as story as this and not mention global warming/climate change as the culprit.

How on Earth can we have a “super” typhoon without the evil carbon dioxide molecules wreaking havoc on poor Mother Gaia?

That’s not what the union teachers taught in the Millennials’ and Gen Xers’ science class!
