Opponents of the carbon tax implemented in 2012 had the media largely on their side. Electricity prices soarednot mainly because of the tax, but because power companies were spending billions on infrastructure. Of course, Obama being Obama will propose handing out subsidies to those who can’t afford the higher payments. So a two-fer for him: higher taxes and more people dependent on Government free stuff.

OTOH we are being told this by the Associated Press - which is a cabal of journalists which purports to speak, not only for journalism as a whole, but for the public interest at large. And that raises my BS detector to high alert.
