Freepers Openly Supporting Liberal Democrats - Alison Lundergan Grimes
Free Republic ^ | June 26, 2014 | Salf/Vanity

Posted on 06/26/2014 10:01:59 AM PDT by ifinnegan

I never thought I would see the day when there were participants in this forum openly advocating voting for a liberal Democrat.

Yet that is what many are doing in advocating Kentuckians vote for Alison Lundergan Grimes.

This makes no sense unless one is a liberal or leftist anti-American or are unable to move beyond emotion and irrationality or a nihilist mind set that lets anger, fear, lack of faith and hatred dominate one's logical faculties.

Alison Lundergan Grimes was born in 1978. That's the year I graduated High school. Many here are older than I, and in politics, at 53 I am not all that old.

This liberal Democrat leftist, Alison Lundergan Grimes, is 36 years old. She is a baby in politics.

If she wins this seat now she will be in the Senate for 40 years.

By contrast, McConnell is an old man who will be gone after this term.

Those supporting the liberal Democrat leftist, Alison Lundergan Grimes, for Senate are going to simply make possible another Feinstein, or Boxer or any such left wing corrupt Marxist-thinking Senator with a Seat-For-Life.

Setting up a permanent seat in the Senate for a liberal leftist Democrat in a state where it is possible to avoid this plague, is not a good idea.

It may feel good emotionally to see the reprehensible, Mitch-I-want-to-punch-the-Tea-Party-in-the-nose McConnell lose, but the negative consequences are greater than the fleeting enjoyment of seeing McConnell lose.

Freepers here that are agitating for “living in the real world, being sensible and logical”, do not know how they sound.....reminds me of the Dems projecting again.

At this point, it is they who need to wake up and face the fact that their party is just not that into them anymore.

It sounds like “Battered Wife Syndrome” to me.

What you are proposing is that we opt for the insidious, tenacious cancer instead of the easily-diagnosed, faster-growing one. What rubbish. It's still cancer, and is just as lethal. In fact, the insidious cancer is worse because by the time you realize it is there, it is too late. The damage is done.

Allow me to introduce to you a hard truth: Either cancer is still cancer, and must be removed.

I am certainly not advocating for the election of ANY democrat. But I will never- EVER- be complicit to the election of a person who is just as much an enemy of our nation but hides under the letter R.

RINOs are cancer. They must be removed by whatever means necessary to ensure the viability of this Republic. Let us begin the surgery. After that, we can turn to the democrats.

They must like being abused and dumped on.
Because they keep taking what the GOPe’s keep giving.

The House can’t really do anything because it dies in the Senate.

If the House don't appropriate it the Senate can't spend it. The House has all the power here, they just fear being accuse of shutting the government down.

we cannot reward our own rinos that use liberal slash/smear campaign tactics against conservative candidates, with our votes.

they want power more than anything. proven so. we cant let them have it, they’ ve shown they are no better than filthy, bottom-barrel feeding, liberal scum. if we support them we lose any credibility we claim to have over libs who’ll vote for anyone with the D next to their name. and we’ll be called on it too.

“I know what you mean, but when moving away from emotion and looking at this realistically, they can and do and will, in fact, do a lot more damage than the GOP-e.”

Respectfully disagree. Lindsey is a mole working inside us to destroy us, whether it is deliberate or through stupidity this amnesty sh_t could be the end of us. If he were a Dem he would not have as much credibility. We have to get our side to stand completely pat against this.

Courts have nothing to do with impeachment.

I didn't say they did.

What I said is if the suit is decided in Boehner's favor it SUPPORTS a possible impeachment. In other words, discovery during the suit will add evidence for a high crimes and misdemeanors trial.

If you can’t vote for Mitch, I’d suggest do a write-in.

You get twice the voting power by voting for Grimes a non vote or third party vote only counts once.

The GOPe has repeatedly tanked general campaigns won by conservatives. Retribution against fellow Republicans might be foolish, but it’s well established practice from our very own establushment.

Who’s the bigger fool, to quote Obi Wan.

So why do you need a courts approval to impeach Obama?

The house already has the power to investigate and impeach Obama.

Courts will never take on this lawsuit.
It is simply a tactic to mollify people like you.

It is a stunt. Nothing more.

The Senate confirms Presidential nominees. With the elimination of the filibuster for nominees and todays SCOTUS ruling getting a majority is critically important.

Additionally nothing from Congress makes it to the Presidents desk without a Senate vote. The Dems have been blocking votes on legislation to protect red and purple state Dems from voting on uncomfortable legislation AND to prevent Obama from having to veto popular legislation.

She’s a rare hot commodity — a hot Democrat, but I still would never vote for a Democrat, even against a RINO.

but this upcoming election was at one time a rare chance to kick Reid’s ass to the back bench.

Actually we had just as good a chance last time and if you will recall Karl "Tokyo" Rove was out there killing off conservative candidates as fast as he could.

History should not be ignored.

I believe it was McConnell who led the way to bring the lawsuit which the SC ruled on today...the SC ruled against Obama.

You better look a little closer at that decision, the Court practically give permission for the Constitution to be amended if the Senate fails to make a meaningful objection, whatever that is.

Then I suggest McConnell and Cochran should have thought about that
before they trashed conservatives, the same voters they will need to win
in the general election.
My advice is to prepare yourself for the blowback that is coming.
