On Monday, MSNBC host Lawrence ODonnell returned to the network after spending several weeks recovering from a motor vehicle accident in which he broke his hip in multiple places and sustained a variety of other injuries. While ODonnell appeared totally healed from his ordeal, he came back a changed man on at least one issue: the Koch brothers.
In an emotional monologue, ODonnell opened up about the taxi accident that sent him and his brother to a hospital a hospital which he praised profusely. That facility was the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, where David Koch is on the board of trustees. In 2009, he donated $25 million to that medical facility.
The first words I saw when I rolled into the hospital was the name David H. Koch. Yes, that David Koch, ODonnell said. Now brace yourselves please for the first positive words said about David Koch on this program. I agree with Harry Reids critique of the Koch brothers contributions to American politics, but that is not the only thing they contribute to.
You can be outraged by what the Koch brothers do with their money in politics and you can appreciate what they contribute to hospitals and medical research, and you can do that at the same time and still retain an ability to function, the MSNBC host continued.
The host grew emotional as he talked about his recovery and the medical professionals who walked him through that process. Yes, I feel some gratitude to David Koch, ODonnell confirmed.
ODonnell may say that he supports Reids attack on the Kochs, but all he seems to agree with is the general distaste for their political spending. He does not seem to agree that the Kochs are un-American or a cult, though he may still believe they are one of the main causes of climate change.
When youve lost Lawrence ODonnell, Jon Stewart, and the editorial staff of Mother Jones magazine, perhaps it is time to rethink your grand strategy.

Change of heart, same old dick.
give him a week, he’ll recover.
KOCH BASHING will resume FULL SPEED
O’Donnell is simply too vapid to take seriously.
It would have been a lot better if the hospital kicked his @ss out onto East 70th St.
Can you prove it?
Still beats up on David Koch. Our NY Hospitals are some of the best because people like Koch donate huge amounts of money to keep them cutting edge.
I’ll give props to Barbra Streisand who endowed a wing at Cedars Sinai (another great city for hospital) for women’s heart disease and research into it.
Well since it was my opinion, it’s obviously correct.
O’Donnell is a hate-filled leftist shill, he’ll never be able to sustain his temporary admiration for Koch charitable giving.
This makes absolutely no sense. If Hitler gave money to a hospital, would he blubber about how wonderful Hitler was? If the Koch brothers are truly evil, as the Libs claim they are, then giving money to a hospital should not change anyone’s opinion of them. Unless O’Donnell and the rest are so incredibly shallow and unthinking in their criticism of the Kochs that simply becoming aware that they give money to a hospital makes O’Donnell realize that they aren’t the evil vipers that he thought them to be.
Sorry, old bean. You cannot be outraged by the Koch brothers if you smile approvingly of Soros.
Well, isn’t that special?
ObabaCare works!
OH wait,, that facility isn’t covered by Obamacare?
Is it?
Yur tax dollars rehabilitating liebrals!
What a marvelous age!
So, it’s not really a hospital until Light Loafer Larry inspects it and has a come to Jesus experience?
What does this say? It means he is the only arbiter of reality.
And that he’s an insipid jerk.
But we/you already knew that.
Excellent point.
There's always a caveat, isn't there.
FMDCH(BITS)
Methinks the writer is straining to see a big change in this clown, but O’Donnell will continue to spew his misinformed hatred.
I have to wonder if he is as equally “outraged” over the money that George Soros donates to political causes? Oh, wait, he and George are on the same page; so, that’s alright then. Still a hypocrite.
