They could/should bring Lerner back in and jail that Bitoch for refusing to answer questions.

But they're not. Hence the skepticism.

Koskinen and Carville...separated at birth??

That’s a closer match!

Since he wasn’t even at the IRS at the time this happened, that would be bad PR, IMO.

Issa should have brought in the IRS head of IT to sit next to Koskinen to help out every time K answers, "I don't know."

What are they hiding?
Lerner may have decided to plead the 5th because she may have deliberately destroyed evidence.

10k reward is offered for recovery of emails.

I would assume holding these hearings has an “end game”. What would that be? What do they intend to do?

Their end game is to tarnish Obama and the democrats so badly that the voters will sweep in a majority of republicans during future elections.

It's almost like two gangs fighting over who is going rob the victim. Neither of them actually is trying to protect him.

Issa is a tool. How many years has he led investigations on this target rich environment that is the 0bama administration but yet what has he delivered? Dude needs to go back to ripping off used car buyers so we can get a real pit bull of justice in there.

Well he wouldn't be in contempt for things that happened before he entered of course. He'd be in contempt for what he HAS done.

But I must say that the tone in the post as I perceived it was more making excuses why something isn't happening.

There's the "just wait until after the elections - then we will be able to do something" - which I understand if hesitantly. We all remember what happened last time we had the house, senate, and executive. Then there's the myriad reasons why it's not a good idea to do anything.

I believe this is a major component of the anti-incumbent environment. The base does not like being lied to. If they're going to do something, do it. If they're not going to do anything, then shut up and tell the truth.

I agree, bring in lower and lower level employees until they start talking.

If managers know nothing or refuse to answer, bring in those that do the work!

This arrogant SOB needs to understand he is the employee or taxpayers and Congress is holding him accountable.

If he declines, he should be immediately fired.
