McCarthyism? GOP Source Says Majority Whip Drafted Boehner Purge List
One good thing I heard today on the radio was that these positions will only last 12 days. First, Cantor isn’t stepping down as Maj Leader until July 31. Then they go on Summer recess. Then the mid-term elections.
These positions will have to be voted on again in January and hopefully more Tea Party types will win and oust Boehner, McCarthy and the rest (Issa for one - he’s useless).
I want to know how Marsha Blackburn voted. She’s becoming more and more GOPe.
I am hopeful that my last vote for Republicans will be this November.
By 2016 we will have a new conservative political party, not beholden or part to any existing party.
The GOP has to go the way of the Whigs.

I actually saw some optimistic news today. The approval rating for Congress is 7% per gallup. The consensus for actual change is there. Hell 93% of Americans can’t agree on anything except maybe breathing is a good idea. But 93% agree that Congress sucks.

I stopped straight party ticket voting in 1996, went Independent meaning best candidate regardless of party especially independents, and have no regrets. Last U.S. Senate election I voted for a DEM who was Conservative pro-life. No regrets. Unfortunately for our nation the RINO won and yesterday he called for a gas tax increase.
I'd like to take away the congressional & federal office holders LIMO's and fuel allowances myself. Make the Tyrants live like "We The People" must live including paying for our own vehicle cost. No more Perks, no more special allowances, and put a $20M Tax on each stinking Lobbyist no matter who they represent.

Roskam was defeated by Scalise of Louisiana for Whip. Both are quite faithful lackeys of Boehner/Cantor/McCarthy and of the Shameless Chambers of Commerce school of selling out conservatives. Henry Hyde would be quite disappointed in Roskam.
