Boehner offers sympathy after Cantor's loss

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) offered his sympathies to Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) in a brief statement late Tuesday after his top lieutenant was defeated in a stunning primary loss.

“Eric Cantor and I have been through a lot together,” Boehner said in a statement that read like a condolence note. “He’s a good friend and a great leader, and someone I’ve come to rely upon on a daily basis as we make the tough choices that come with governing. My thoughts are with him and Diana and their kids tonight.” Boehner and Cantor have worked closely together in the last two years after a tense period in the first year of Boehner’s tenure as Speaker.

Cantor was seen as Boehner’s heir apparent, and his loss will shake up the line succession in the House GOP ranks.

In a shocking upset, Cantor was defeated, 56 percent to 44 percent, by conservative David Brat, a Tea Party-aligned college professor with no experience in elected office.

And you can find “sympathy” right between sh*t and syphilis in the dictionary.

Where is the endorsement of Brat and a call for unity?

Boehner, do you not remember what happened in 2006 the last time Republicans supported amnesty? You ought to be on your knees thanking the good conservatives of Virginia’s 7th district for saving your job. Because if amnesty passes between now and November, you can say ‘hello’ to Speaker Pelosi again.

* Cancel NAFTA.

* Abolish all Federal, State and Local Welfare payments to non-citizens of the USA.

* Block all money transfers to Mexico, or other any Country South of our Southern Border.

* After lunch, pass and sign Federal Penalty law to anyone who hires an Illegal Alien Invader, with a fine of $1,000 per day per alien.

* String Concertina Wire Holding-Pen Stockades at 100 mile intervals for the gotta-ways.

* Be as hostile to Mexicans as the Mexicans have been to the US Marine held and tortured in Prison by the Mexican Guards for the last two months.

* Hire Greyhound Bus Company to transport Illegal Alien Invaders to Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Chain Link Desert Spa near Phoenix, Arizona.

* Have supper.

Boehner, let this and your pathetic margin of victory against a 30 year old adjunct professor with a couple thousand dollars be a message to you.

We have had it with your weak, feckless leadership. We gave you a majority to fight Obama, but when courageous senators like Ted Cruz held the line, you retreated. You have buckled time and time again, you have stripped small-government upstarts of committee assignments against the will of the people, and worst of all, you have helped prop up the treacherous Mitch McConnell in the senate.

Resign now, Boehner. Not just your speakership, but your congressional seat as well. Back when you entered congress, you were that age’s equivalent of a rebel congressman who pledged to stand up against the stale leadership of the time in 1991, but you have been absorbed by the borg. You are the borg. Its time to shut down one last time.

We want a CONSERVATIVE speaker! If only to counteract a possible McConnell-led senate.

With no experience as a GOP elected official, how will he know how to surrender correctly?
