TEA Party official locked inside courthouse in Jackson

A Hinds County Republican official is raising concern about a TEA Party official being inside the Hinds County Courthouse hours after a everyone had left Tuesday night, and after returns had been counted in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate.

Hinds County Republican Executive Chairman Pete Perry said he received a call about 2 a.m. Wednesday from Janis Lane of the Central Mississippi TEA Party saying she and another person were locked in the courthouse and were trying to find a way out.

"I don't care who it is, I have a concern with someone being in the courthouse with all the election material down there," Perry said.

Perry said everyone had left the courthouse by 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and locked up.

"I'm wondering how she got into the courthouse and what she was doing in there," Perry said.

Perry said he called the Hinds County Sheriff's Office to tell what Lane told him about being locked in the courthouse. He said he gave a sheriff's official Lane's phone number.

"I told them to not just open the door and let her out without asking what she was doing inside the courthouse."

Sheriff's spokesman Othor Cain said there was never a threat to any ballots or anything; all of those were already secured.

Cain said the Sheriff's Office generated a report on the incident, but there's no investigation.

Cain said about 2 or 2:30 a.m., the woman went through a door that was propped open and somehow it closed behind her and she couldn't get out.

Perry said Lane had been a precinct worker for the Republican primary and had dropped off her precinct ballot material at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and left.

Perry said some precinct information wasn't sealed because the doors would be locked. He said they were coming back Wednesday to complete the process such as counting affidavit ballots.

All right, that's it.

Cancel all elections in the United States for the next two years.

In some places Democrat officials just walk around with ballot boxes, finding ballots in their closets and in their trunks and nobody is supposed to think they might cheat

Why did Frank Wills find duct tape on the DNC office door at the Watergate Hotel?

Does the fire code not require that people be able to exit a building at all times?

Damn, that’s why Hinds county took so long to get their returns in.

I can think of some places that you can’t exit a building at all times.
Don’t know about this county facility

IMHO, the critical statement and why I think Ms Lane and her companion may have prevented an election from being stolen...

Perry said some precinct information wasn't sealed because the doors would be locked. He said they were coming back Wednesday to complete the process such as counting affidavit ballots.

Not too sure about that. I remember back in the 70s stopping in a jewelry store in Chicago. Just walked in, o big deal. Behind the counter with the owner was an aggressive doberman that gave me the heebe jeebeez. I could not get out until the owner buzzed me out.

Uh, The ‘Tea Party’ is not a political party at all. They are a political movement.
