Just when you thought the courts couldn’t get any worse, this was videotaped and still not guilty?

Remember that actress, forget her name, who was on tape shoplifting big amounts of merchandise from a store? If I recall correctly, she was found not guilty of the most serious charges, even though they had security tapes to view.
Jury nullification at work????
To: PaulCruz2016
Not guilty -- said the jury...

White heron addict attacks Asian cop? Obviously, they need to retry her on a hate crime charge.

Rutland is (or used to be) the hometown of Charles E. Tuttle publishers, who were really big in the Japan-study biz back in the mid-1900s.

Yes, Winona Ryder was the one.
Whatever happened to her? Is she still around? I don’t pay much attention to the popular culture anymore.
To: Steely Tom
Maybe she gives good ‘oral’ arguments.

The prosecutor went for the gold, attempted murder, and the jury of 12 wasn’t buying that. Only two hours for deliberation shows that they must have had substantial reasons not to convict. I suspect there is a lot more going on with the Rutland PD than is presented in this article and the jury know that. Perhaps the tape also caught the police ignoring her husband hanging himself in the jail and refusing to check on him?
