Inside the Ring: Directive outlines Obama’s policy to use the military against citizens
The Washington Times ^ | May 28, 2014 | Bill Gertz

A 2010 Pentagon directive on military support to civilian authorities details what critics say is a troubling policy that envisions the Obama administration’s potential use of military force against Americans.

The directive contains noncontroversial provisions on support to civilian fire and emergency services, special events and the domestic use of the Army Corps of Engineers.

The troubling aspect of the directive outlines presidential authority for the use of military arms and forces, including unarmed drones, in operations against domestic unrest.

“This appears to be the latest step in the administration’s decision to use force within the United States against its citizens,” said a defense official opposed to the directive.

Directive No. 3025.18, “Defense Support of Civil Authorities,” was issued Dec. 29, 2010, and states that U.S. commanders “are provided emergency authority under this directive.”

“Federal military forces shall not be used to quell civil disturbances unless specifically authorized by the president in accordance with applicable law or permitted under emergency authority,” the directive states.

“In these circumstances, those federal military commanders have the authority, in extraordinary emergency circumstances where prior authorization by the president is impossible and duly constituted local authorities are unable to control the situation, to engage temporarily in activities that are necessary to quell large-scale, unexpected civil disturbances” under two conditions.

The conditions include military support needed “to prevent significant loss of life or wanton destruction of property and are necessary to restore governmental function and public order.” A second use is when federal, state and local authorities “are unable or decline to provide adequate protection for federal property or federal governmental functions.”

“Federal action, including the use of federal military forces, is authorized when necessary to protect the federal property or functions,” the directive states.

Bingo... And to the extent that the military turns on American citizens, these same citizens will turn on the military. And there’s a bunch more armed citizens than there are military.

It would make a very interesting warfare exercise wouldn't it?

I don’t like using inforwars as my source, however they have the best article, and a copy of the new Military Instruction directive about the change use of troops against civilians.

“If Bill Gertz is writing and framing it in this manner, then it is very credible in my opinion.”

My thoughts also.

Second, they will house existing prisoners on military bases to free us space for political dissidents (ie: you and me or any entity who’s loyalty is unknown).

If it actually comes to that...I won't be led to a fenced holding area or camp with armed guards. I shall not go gentle into that good night.

Better to die standing as a free man than live for one second on your knees.

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

You’re so right.

However I believe this is set up this way because of a county Sheriff that can handle the incident and telling the feds to get lost. The Bundy incident comes to mind though it didn’t come to that, at least it was never admitted it did.

I can think of several Sheriff’s in AZ and OR that would tell the feds to stuff it and there are others around the country that would do the same.

Since we currently have a voluntary army and not a bunch of consripts I am betting 80% will say “Hell No”. Obumbles has been told as much long ago and that is why he is arming up his civilian national defense force. He really believes these clowns can subjugate the American People.

The govt thought they could arm up a bunch of forest rangers, stick tactical vests on them and they would invade a sovereign state, run roughshod over the public and steal a private citizen’s cattle. Look how that turned out. Up against the militia it was a total no go. They turned tail and ran as fast as they could when they realized they were about to get massacred by a bunch of former military with combat experience.

After many years of leftist indoctrination and opening the doors for all the freaks of society, I think it is probably naïve to think they wouldn’t happily shoot at the “racist, sexist homophobes” if Obama’s officers told them to

That’s not why our young people sign up for the military. All you need to do is watch what happened this week when Oblather spoke at West Point. These kids know a poser/loser when they hear one.

Ah those agencies who’s SWAT teams could be hours away from one of TVA’s power plants?
