A little boy is in trouble for a picture he drew as part of a school assignment.
Second grader Kody Smith was assigned to go outside, look at the clouds, and then use his imagination to draw what he saw.
"Draw a picture of what you see in the clouds from your imagination and that picture is a gun, explained 8-year-old Kody.
Because it was a gun, the teacher at Talbott Elementary in Widefield called him into the office, and then filed a behavior report. His parents say that's too much.
It hurts. It hurts that he was so scared for being penalized for his imagination, said Kodys father, Jeff Smith.
Hes 8 years old. He was doing exactly what he was told to do for the assignment, said Kodys mother, Angel Rivers.
The report says Kody showed behavior that is disruptive to the entire learningcommunity. The parents were worried that this would be on his permanent school record. The Widefield School District says it will not be.
D-3 also sent us this statement: Our primary responsibility as a school district is to ensure safety of all staff, students and community. We exercised an age-appropriate reaction to an incident. The student's education was never disrupted nor is this incident on the student's permanent record. Our response was in line with routine procedures focused on school safety.
and people wonder why kids don’t learn anything in school?
It’s because there are IDIOTS running the schools.
>> then filed a behavior report.
It’s not the students that require an adjustment in behavior.
These are scary, dangerous times, people.
And every single one of these IDIOTS holds an advanced degree. Being educated doesn't necessarily mean that you're smart.
government is an unaccountable cancer and the problem not any solution to ANY problem
this is what democrats want running your healthcare
He was “disruuptive to the learning community” but his learning was not disrupted.
People better wake up. Then again, it’s probably too late.
A rectal thermometer has a lot of degrees.
Too many parents are too concerned about American Idol.
Did this happen in America?
“The report says Kody showed behavior that is disruptive to the entire learningcommunity.”
You mean the student was thinking freely instead of being an idiot who just accepted things as it is like the rest of his mush-brained classmates?
Oh God, the horrors!
yes these morons are idiots
but even if you got the smartest , most competent people from the private sector they still couldn’t get a government school or government agency to work . government is the problem. when will people understand that? democrats love and trust government
the argument that the reason socialism/government never has worked was because there were idiots running the government actually helps socialism . this is because then democrats will say they just have to get them or smart people to make socialism/government work. it can NEVER work ever , ever ever
if you made $100,000 per year after taxes then you could buy anything you could ever need in the free market because someone would produce it for money( look at the millions of products for sale on Google , internet , ebay , amazon,Walmart, Dollar Tree etc etc). So we don’t need government for ANYTHING. private industry created a whole city DISNEY WORLD in Florida. So democrats create fake crisis like global warming,no health insurance crisis to justify the very existence of government and the continued growth of government(socialism)
Kody should have been thinking of fags and obama, then he would have received a medal.
I have an old children’s board-game from Parker Brothers, based on the “Have Gun, Will Travel” tv-series. The little spinner-card that the player uses to count the number of jumps on the board is in the form of a little rotating revolver, and the players’ pieces are in the shapes of bullets. Board is replete with depictions of cowpokes holding guns and rifles.
My God, but how America has fallen. This country has become a pathetic, wussified, faggoty joke of a country.
Just a bit of nostalgia, but, did you know Gene Roddenberry of Star Trek fame created Have Gun will Travel?
Not quite. Roddenberry wrote a good number of episodes, going back to the first season. But Sam Rolfe (and I think, Herb Meadow...?) actually created the “Have Gun Will Travel” series.
I actually met Sam Rolfe once. He initially wrote the fine Jimmy Stewart western “The Naked Spur.” Had a nice little discussion with him about it.
My sympathy for people who put their children in abusive government mind control factories has evaporated.
Hate reading this kind of BS.
I’m just glad that my local school district had no problem with two 8th grade students’ science project. “Does the color of targets affect shooters accuracy in sporting clays?” The project had the two students shoot at different colored targets and compare their accuracy.
Yes, Herb Meadows. I remember from the radio voice-overs at the end of the radio version. Herb was also involved in “Frontier Gentleman”, another series starring John Dehner.
