Disneyland admission is now just shy of 100 dollars for everyone age ten years and older.

I do enjoy taking my family to amusement parks, but Disney has become to expensive. There are other attractions in So. Calif. with better prices which are just as enjoyable to me.

In my day Knott’s Berry Land was FREE to enter. The hippies changed that. Dirty hippies.

I can't figure out how they can collect enough fools to spend that kind of money and spend 90% of their time waiting in lines.

We have a number of fairly decent parks here in the Pittsburgh area which will cost you less than $30 for the day and you'll spend less than 30% of your time waiting in line.

I still remember the ticket books. A-E, with the A’s and B’s piling up in the kitchen junk drawer.

I mean, you only had to zip through the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse once to know it sucked. And Tom Sawyer Island? Well if you liked the smell of urine...

Burned us kids up that our parents would make us waste perfectly good E tickets on that insipid PC “It’s a Small World” ride. Dumbo was way better and that was only a C (or maybe D) ticket. Paid em back on the teacups though, lol.

Unless you get there the minute they open and stay way into the night...the over hour is deep.
I love Disney sigh

Anyone in the Northeast looking for a place to go this summer - go to Knoebels in Elysburg, PA. Free admission, free parking, free picnic areas. Great coasters. Great, cheap food.

Plus, Flying Turns is open this summer!

Went there three Saturdays ago and all the good rides were either broken (Pirates, Small World, Alice, submarines, and many more). Or, broke on us while we were either in line, or on the ride. Some in our party had to be escorted out/off (Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise, and several others).

All the customers were complaining, but I doubt there were any refunds issued.

My last trip was in September 1985. Bank of America night with my mother-in-law and two sons. I had 40 stitches on the top of each foot from a recent lymphangiogram. Follow up testing for cancer. No real interest in another visit.

Went to Disneyland once back in the 1970s. Waited 45 minutes to get on the Mattahorn ride which lasted about a minute and a half. The park was overpriced and underwhelming.

We have an amusement park here that's been around for a hundred years. Not a big name, but a heckuva lot better than Disney.

Six Flags are better and in New England, the oldest amusement park is a great park, Lake Compounce. Disney is overrated.

We love Disney. But you’ve got to go with a PLAN! Read the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disneyworld (or Disneyland) before you go. Makes all the difference in world; can’t wait to go back in September!
