An illegal alien killed a police office while driving the wrong way in on an Arizona freeway.
Raul Silva Corona had driven a staggering 35 miles in the wrong direction on three freeways with a blood alcohol level of .238 percent -- three times the legal limit -- in the wee hours of Monday morning before he killed Mesa Police Officer Brandon Mendoza in a fiery crash , the Associated Press reported Friday.
In Arizona, a driver is considered intoxicated with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent.

About a year ago one on his cell phone in an old pickup swerved abruptly into my lane and I was lucky to avoid collision.

Alcohol is so very dangerous.
Some people lose the ability to make sound judgements while intoxicated, while others do not. It’s a strong mind-altering drug that has very different effects on people. Some can handle it well while others simply go insane while under its influence.
I rank it just below Meth on the danger scale.
No, I am not a proponent of prohibition. The war-on-some-drugs is an epic failure that has cost us much of our freedom.
Even though alcohol can cloud our judgement I believe people must be held accountable for their actions when under its influence. Knowing its effects upon them they should make the decision to never partake. It would scare the crap out of me to take a drug that caused me to do stupid things.
