Remember, after a lengthy absence of the use of capital punishment, Gary Gilmore was the first executed, and he requested firing squad.
Note also, that Utah is a largely Mormon state. My understanding, accepting clarification from LDS members, is that redemption from sin can come in the shedding of one’s own blood. unlike lethal injection or hanging, firing squad meets the criteria. Hence, it is a preferred method for Mormons, of which Gilmore was one.
Great idea! Just make sure the execution weapons are referred to as “Assault Weapons”, just so leftist’s heads will expload.
A bullet to the heart or head of the convicted murderer is so quick that the the left would be hard put to push the suffering aspect of the murderer and other monsters as the left always does here in America.
The left loves murderers and other haters and knows that the large majority of criminals are potential democrat voters in todays fallen American government obamanation regime.

I would rather bring back hanging. To me it has more of an element of punishment. Especially if it’s done right, without breaking the neck. A long painful strangle.
Firing squad is unnecessary. Shotgun blast at close range to the back of the head. Instant death.

I’m all in favor of the firing squad, for several reasons.
It has already been approved of as a means of execution, by the US Supreme Court.
It is very inexpensive, and not prone to error, nor is it dependent on hard to obtain chemicals. It would be terribly hard to nit-pick legally.
Now this being said, all should realize that the firing squad is the legal equivalent of lethal self defense.
Zimmerman was the de facto prosecutor, judge, jury and executioner of Martin. There were no endless appeals, no decades in prison. As such, he saved the state a million dollars for every decade Martin would have spent in prison.
And lethal self defense gives the public a way to have swift justice when the courts have failed to give it to them.
Yes, the firing squad should be extensively used and expeditiously.
