Just how many of the LONG time GOP-e/Rinos that infest DC and pulled the SAME(or similar) BS(like "siccing" US Government Agencies(like the IRS) on opponents or people they did not agree with?
GOP-e or the Country Club Republicans as I call them, are OK with the Rats coming after the Tea Party. Pure and simple.
Like Trey Gowdy said when the miscreants of “Fast and Furious” pointed to Bush’s “Wide Receiver” as a predecessor: “Bring ‘em all in! Let’s hear all the facts.”
We NEED to RIP the SCAB off of the inflamed Pustule that is the ENTRIRE Federal Government(and a lot of State/Local Govs too) and let the GROSS Pus flow, THAT will be relief!
The establishment Republicans, while blowing a lot of smoke on the issue to raise money, would like nothing better than to see the demise of the Tea Party and other organizations that question the total disregard for the U.S. Constitution and Government in Washington regardless of which party.
ENTIRE
The IRS scandal is a much more straight forward and obvious abuse of power, why is it not the main focus?
Couldn’t agree more!
These long time politicians are in such box, they blackmail themselves, due to their corruption the Constitution has become their enemy.
Term Limits!
What good is an oath to the Constitution when there is no prosecution.
Take your meds.
Trey Gowdy grows more relevant every day.
Exactly right. Its the old “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” thing. The GOP-e detests and fears the latter because it exposes the GOP’s fake conservatism. The GOP wants big government every bit as much as their pals in the Democrat Party. The Tea Party threatens the GOP’s comfortable and self-serving support for the status quo.
I think most of them are every bit as crooked as the Dems. It’s a racket. Maybe we could get Ted Cruz to file a RICO case on the whole lot of them.
"I'll cover you as usual.
But my side will probably not believe that another
Egyptian video was behind this. Why dont we just
blame the Tea Party and Sarah Palin, again?"
I know people who have worked inside several organs of the GOP. Let’s just say its far from what it claims to be. Not that that’s any big surprise to anyone, but I can assure you that there are deeply intrenched interests that have no intention of promoting or upholding conservative principles. Its all a big show.
Around here the GOPe is every bit the straw man that Obama is known for creating
While some may, It is silly to think all “moderates” hate the Tea Party
The reason things don’t happen the way you think they should ( such as a bigger investigation of the IRS scandal) is because the political will is simply not there yet.
In this political climate the main headwind is the media
And these guys have to figure out what will work and what wont in terms of the media, and the perceptions of the voters
If the media was pushing the IRS scandal, more politicians (and remember that is what they all are) would jump on the boat and sail in that direction.
From Wikipedia: The Barrett Report is a 400 page report created by special prosecutor David Barrett. Initially tasked with investigating allegations of lying to the FBI against Henry Cisneros, Secretary of the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development under U.S. President Bill Clinton, the investigation eventually delved into allegations that President Clinton had used the U.S. Department of Justice and the Internal Revenue Service as political tools against American citizens.[1] Before the release of the report, three Democrat U.S. Senators, John Kerry, Dick Durbin and Byron Dorgan, forced the redaction of certain pages by attaching a rider to an unrelated appropriations bill.[2]
If I remember correctly, a three judge panel oversaw this special prosecutor and his report. It was determined that any member of Congress could have this report released by simply having it read into the Congressional Record (CR).
Initially Charles Grassley promised Tony Snow that if the report was not released by the three judge panel, he would have it read into the CR. He slowly backed away from his promise to Snow and NO OTHER REPUBLICAN MEMBER OF CONGRESS HAS STEPPED FORWARD TO AFFECT THE RELEASE.
What does this tell us? The Republicans are knee deep in this as well.
I know, my husbands aunt was pretty far up in the Minnesota Republican party. She does not get it either. To her we are nuts.
