Nanny State PING!
Half the people on FR will support this government intrusion. Just watch.
I hate to say anything nice about the Red Mountain State, but I do not see the problem with wanting to know what the hell is in our food.
The more information the better. I am not necessarily against this. If they ban it or ban sodas over 12 ounces then I have a problem. People should not fear information.
So it's more theater and government intrusion.

Too bad you aren't getting any with a vague GMO label.

I do because I don’t look at it as government intrustion. What I find government intrusion is telling me that I can’t buy a bigger than 12-ounce soda. That pisses me off to no end. Giving additional information to people is not a negative. How dumb that you think it is.
It's meaningless theater for ignorant food fetishists.

So what. It doesn’t harm anyone. Maybe people want to know. Instead of worrying about this, why not worry about getting rid of abortion which is the worst thing that the government has ever done. Anything else pales in comparison.
In July 2016 just watch how fast the store shelves become very empty. So what about Franken Food sold by fast food joints?
I’m with you . Many people would like the info, but the federal pols are too easily bought off.
Only an idiot can't see that government is costing businesses with meaningless mandates.
And people still won't know anything about the product. The GMO label is meaningless by itself. Except for food fetishists that gain a feeling of moral superiority by remaining ignorant of what they can't understand.

I don’t care. Prices have gone up the last year at the grocery store without any government intervention. The prices go up all the time. You are so unaware. Probably one of those rich type that haven’t been to the grocery store which is why you think that this is going to cause prices to rise when they have without it all year long. Please get with the rest of America ASAP.

Absolutely hyperbole. Seriously you can do better than that. This is really no big deal. I almost think you should write articles for the New York Times. You would be good at it.
The market is taking care of this by itself. The hysteria has gotten so great that any non-GMO product is already marked as such. Just assume it is GMO if not marked GMO free. Even though I believe the whole thing is much ado about nothing.
I grow or hunt most of my food. I've worked professionally in the food service industry.
Government is constantly driving up food prices.
Only an uninformed idiot wouldn't know that.
