It harms the consumer by driving up prices for meaningless labeling that isn't informative.

Only an idiot can't see that government is costing businesses with meaningless mandates.

And people still won't know anything about the product. The GMO label is meaningless by itself. Except for food fetishists that gain a feeling of moral superiority by remaining ignorant of what they can't understand.
