That makes Morris a bigger jerk than I ever imagined. I assumed he had gotten in on something that mattered and had overstayed the time... With his sick personality type he'll probably be fighting for the Tea Party in 40 years when the rest of us have moved on to newer injustices.

Notice that some of the left is realizing that it just may be at the cusp of losing its grip on public schools. It is inevitable. Public school alternative enrollments are growing as much as 7 times as fast as public school enrollments as people choose to opt out of public schools for homeschooling, charter, and private schools. The rise of information technology is leading directly to a conclusion which will make distributed education and non traditional education options the norm. Things may appear dire in the Obama neo dictatorship but the left and the political media class is approaching an abyss.
We will see even more shrillness as they attempt to shut up and shut down critics and try to force more and more centralized control over people’s lives and minds before the reigns come off altogether. Traditional media is deconstructing and once academia follows completely the left will be left with what it deserves a very narrow impotent place in our politics. That of course requires us to continue to fight and use the lefts overstepping in areas of speech and religious suppression.
That is so telling! I have a deep disdain for that little worm gates. His eugenics crap just put me over the edge.
While it’s fun to see the teachers against something as horrendous as Common Core, keep in mind that their ONLY objection to it is the testing requirements, as that enables the really bad teachers to be identified.
If they pull out the testing, the teachers will support Common Core 1000%.
Meanwhile, my grandson in NC has been relieved of the common core problem. NC has apparently abandoned the program

I can only assume that it's a knee jerk reaction by the teachers' union to anything with the word "standards" in it.
