Gallup ^ | 5/8/14

Posted on 05/08/2014 11:03:23 AM PDT by SoFloFreeper

About four in 10 Republicans and Republican-leaning independents classify themselves as supporters of the Tea Party, while 11% are opponents and 48% are neither. This continues to be a significant drop from the Tea Party's high-water mark in November 2010, when 61% of Republicans were supporters of the Tea Party.

Media shaping rather than reporting public attitudes.

Notice that the news about the Benghazi committee is all about how the "Boehner ducked questions about the Republicans using the Benghazi incident to fund-raise".

If you wish to be informed, do not watch the media.

“About four in 10 Republicans and Republican-leaning independents classify themselves as supporters of the Tea Party, while 11% are opponents”

That 11% must be the hardcore of the GOPe.

Actually the TP mentality has started to go mainstream

I no longer identify myself as Tea Party. I'll contact people across the political spectrum and express my views about things like the invasion of the US and the damage the banking system is doing to the economy for ordinary Americans in a logical coherent way.

Why should I associate with a movement that associates with a political party that only stabs us in the back when the voting is through?

Certainly some T.E.A. Party supporters don’t want to be on donation lists or refuse to self-identify as supporting due to Obama, Holder, the IRS and the rest of the rats trying to personally destroy donors and supporters through any means at their disposal. Don’t be fooled.

This is a game of chicken with the GOP. They’re waiting to see who blinks first.
The GOP are now attacking their own and it will split them up and the Dems will win in November.
I for one will not be voting for the Media chosen candidate. I’m tired of trying to change things by going along and voting for the milquetoast candidate then maybe next time there will be someone better.
The GOP needs to crash and burn. Only then can we step up and show them the way

Well, with 10% of Tea Party donors being audited by the IRS, I suspect people are wising up and avoiding the TP “label”, too.

Some Tea Party Patriots don’t check the Tea Party box because they are not interested in getting audited by the IRS. I can assure you support has only grown in fly-over country.

To most hard core republicans and democrats the party is everything.
It is first to them, before GOD, country, patriotism, honor, core beliefs.

The Tea Party is not a political party like the democrat or republican party.
To Tea Party patriots the Tea Party label means little.

Journalists (media whores) try to define the Tea Party in the same way as the democrat and republican parties but Tea Partiers are different and not so easily measured.

That’s why they aren’t so easy to find between elections.
If they are not in the military, they are at work, at home, at church or minding their own business.

There is little formal organization, there are few, if any, membership lists, no membership cards, no Tea Party slates of candidates, no promises from candidates for more free stuff in exchange for a vote.

It is what the Tea Party ideal and ideals represent that has meaning.

If you are a patriot, love GOD, country, family, freedom and independence, have honor, morals, ethics, and conservative core beliefs you are a Tea Party member at heart.

This is a proudct of whathappens when we nominate weak candidates that the media can tear up. They then use it to attack the wole movement.

41% still makes it a HUGE voting bloc - but they would rather pander to gays and illegals

This is understandable because the GOPe hates Americans who complain about being forced to send too much of THEIR money to the government in taxes.

Bumper sticker simple: You can’t demonize them without creating a label!

I seem to remember that “the Tea Party is doomed!” articles prior to the last elections.
