Southerners are a minority in the State of Florida. Sad, but true. The only real Southerners you will find in the state are near the Alabama and Georgia line. Transplanted Yankees and Cubans make up the majority of the population. That’s why for the last two elections it has went democrat.

You could actually say the exact same thing about the City of Atlanta and much of central and North Georgia. This also applies to North Carolina. Much of the rest of the south has also been transformed. Louisiana is a welfare state. It's not so much a matter of birth anymore. The times they are a changin'! I blame public education, nationwide. If Common Core becomes a national reality, this will get much worse and very fast.

I was born and raised in Miami. My mom got there from Virginia in the 1940's and my dad came from Russia about 1918. They met in the 1950's. I was raised saying my hometown's name as MIAM-UH as did most folks I knew growing up. Immigration only became a factor when Castro took over Cuba. Those first immigrants freely integrated and ASSIMILATED into the local area while bringing their work ethic with them. Those folks saved this town with their industry. In the 1980's with the Mariel boatlift began the spiral into multicultural HELL with liberals doing what they do best: Screw things up and vilify those that oppose them.

If that's true why isn't the state legislature firmly in the hands of the DEMS?

So Indiana rats have have found someone to run for State Treasurer

http://www.nwitimes.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/elections/former-illinois-lawmaker-running-for-indiana-treasurer/article_f28da91d-3af1-56a5-9277-5fa3190d9443.html

Former ILLINOIS State Rep. Mike Boland (from the Quad Cities area, as far from Indiana as you can get), who left the state after losing rat primaries for LT Governor (2010) and State Senate (2012). LOL.

<<<<<<Boland said since moving to Indiana in 2012 he’s been bothered that Republicans control nearly every office in state government. He believes partisan balance would improve transparency and make government more accountable to Hoosiers.<<<<<<

Funny, he never worried about “partisan balance” when he was here.

The state convo where they will pick someone is May 31st, no one else appears to be interested.

A State convo will also select the Republican candidate, on Jun 3rd. I presume this goes for the offices of SOS and Auditor as well (which feature GOP incumbents), Why aren’t these offices subject to primary elections?

In a surprise, Indiana Republicans nominated Kelly Mitchell for State Treasurer, she will take on Illinois rat Mike Boland.

Very strange that there was no primary for this office.
