Two founders of the Pink Floyd rock band have called on the Rolling Stones to cancel a concert in Israel in an op-ed for news website Salon.com.
In the article, titled Why the Rolling Stones shouldnt play in Israel, Roger Waters and Nick Mason wrote: Playing Israel now is the moral equivalent of playing Sun City at the height of South African apartheid.
The aging rockers added that the Rolling Stones Israel concert comes at a critical time in the global struggle for Palestinian freedom and equal rights.
The Stones are due to perform on June 4 at Tel Avivs Hayarkon Park.
Roger Waters is a longtime backer of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign. Over the past year, he has come under criticism from several Jewish groups, including the Anti-Defamation League, which accused him of antisemitism an accusation he denies.
I hope Keith Richards kicks Rogers’ ass.
Speaking as a Musician,They S*CK!!Speaking as a supporter of The State of Israel,They S*CK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well in that case, Waters should never go back to England again, since that was the ancient home of the Celtic Britons, right? him being Anglo-Saxon and all?
Keep promoting the utter lies of the “Palestinians”, Waters. See where that gets you.
Hey Roger Waters - It's What God Wants.
Pink Floyd is “Comfortably Dumb”.
Let’s hope it would not come to that. Keith is doing good to stand and play guitar much less fight. He would be slaughtered by just about anyone.
When it comes to morality and politics, Roger Waters is an excellent musician.

So we’ve finally discovered who John Kerry’s foreign policy advisors are!
But the aging dopers desperately need the money for their relocation to Colorado.
I knew Waters would be one of the names. Glad to see Gilmour isn't the other.
Then again, David Gilmour wasn't really a founding member of Pink Floyd, was he? And the only other founding members, Syd Barrett and Richard Wright are dead.
I eagerly await the opinions of the foreign policy experts at Pink Floyd regarding what should be done in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Ukraine, Detroit and Chicago.
I feel your pain Laz, same for me. I’m pretty much listening to Johnny Cash only now lol.
C'mon, now. The Rolex-wearing, sports car-driving multi millionaire Roger Waters has been an unapologetic socialist for the past 30+ years.
At least David Gilmour gave his fortune away to charity.
Bunch of dang PINOs.....Picts in name only.
I’m very disappointed in Nick Mason.
Pink Floyd can't hold a candle to the Stones.
