SAN JOSE -- San Jose State has expelled three of the students charged with the racially tinged bullying of a freshman and extended one other student's suspension, requiring him to go to counseling and to remain on probation for the rest of his college career if he returns to school.
All four had been suspended pending final disciplinary action for allegedly subjecting then-17-year-old Donald Williams Jr. to repeated abuse, including wrestling him to the ground and fastening a bike lock around his neck, calling him racially derogatory names, locking him in his room and displaying a Confederate flag.
The expelled students are banned for life from enrolling in any California State University college, according to university documents and sources familiar with the investigation.

Um, they are getting off easy! Too easy! Criminal charges should have been filed and prosecution done. These twerps are going to be dangerous to society.
What the heck is going on with people these days was this “hazing”? Who does this crap.
What happened with “innocent until proven guilty”? The article only says they’re charged with a crime.

this story ticks me off for three reasons:
1) Rev Moore II responded to racism with some of his own:
Moore said. “If they went to prison, they’d probably come back as skinheads.”
2) A boy’s reputed hazing was carried on far too long to call it hazing after the young man vocalized he wasn’t in to the joke. When people say no they freaking mean no! The kids that taunted him should be punished, and sternly, but I think banning from education for life smacks of “sterlingization” and that’s a dangerous precident to set.
3) The kids disrespected the Confederate Flag by associating it with hatred and they probably disrespected Elvis, too. That’s worth at least 10 days hard labor in itself.
They were charged with a crime. But the University is able to decide who goes there and who doesn’t. Their legal troubles are just beginning. But their academic careers are over in California.
Perhaps Obama's and Holder's racial favoritism is producing the results that some of us have long expected.
Sounds to me like these twerps would be equal opportunity meanies to anyone, under the necessary circumstances. I think race was only an excuse. Of all the acts of race hate I’ve heard of, calling a fellow “Fraction” is a new one. It really sounds like a hazing joke gone way overboard much more than any sort of genuine race animus.
And... for revenge I think the black fellow should get to stuff saltines down the pants of his assailants, calling them crackers....

Whites are an absolute racial minority in San Jose (27% of the population) and they are routinely victimized by non- whites in far more serious attacks: murder, assaults, muggings, you name it.
And that includes SJSU. Although there it’s usually Mexican attacks as they are the majority in San Jose now.
Nobody gets suspended for life. They get sympathy for their ‘plight’.
They went after these guys because the it’s the coup de grace for the Americans in that part of California: submit to racial persecution or leave.
They want California ethnically cleansed of the hated Whitey. This is just one more stop on that road. Doubt if even half of the crap is true.
Yes, "ever" is always risky. I should have set a time range, perhaps the past 30 years. For a very long time the rule has been that public accusations of white racism are much more likely to be false than true.
And San Jose is probably about 2% black. Isn't 27% still a lot higher than 2%, or did you go to San Jose State?
So they went after these guys by making them treat this kid so horribly? They told them to make racial slurs and such?

The single race black group is 3.2% per the link.Non-hispanic whites 28.7%. Hispanic+non-hispanic whites 42.8%. Law enforcement statistics have been annotated to identify hispanic vs non-hispanic whites as the higher crime rates of the hispanic white groups were being diluted by lumping them together.
