Russia demands Security Council meeting on Ukraine (Scheduled for Noon EST)

The U.N. Security Council plans to meet in emergency session Friday on Ukraine after Russia called for a public meeting on the growing crisis there.

The Russian mission to the United Nations tweeted that Russia asked for what will be the council's 13th meeting on the crisis, and the spokesman's office for the U.N. secretary-general confirmed that the open meeting would be at noon (1600 GMT).

Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman on Friday said Ukraine's new offensive has "effectively destroyed the last hope for the implementation of the Geneva agreements" that aimed to defuse the crisis

Why are Russians in Ukraine protesting the Ukrainian government and rebelling? This is a LOT like the Jihadis entering Chechnya and rebelling against Moscow to form their own breakaway republic. Will the Ukrainians bring in the Grad MRLs?

I am sure that Putin feels that Russian troops, (aka little green men) shooting Ukrainian citizens is morally better than Ukrainian troops shooting little green men agitators. After all the purpose of moving Russian troops into the Ukraine, whether in full military uniform or not, was to protect Russian's (who Stalin moved into the Ukraine after Stalin starved, murdered and expelled to Siberia all those nasty Ukrainians).
