Israel, which has fantastic intelligence, voted a little while back “No” in the UN, and basically wants to stay neutral on this.
Sadly, Israel has become closer to Russia than it has been in the past, while the U.S. seems to be going in the opposite direction.
Given the Arab Spring, the U.S. supporting the validity of the Muslim Brotherhood, their gall displayed by calling the Muslim Brotherhood “largely secular,” is it any wonder that Israel has done what it has done?

If I had lived through the Cuban Missile crisis, I think it would have felt something like this.
Obama and the WH were fuming against Israel and Netanyahu when Israel voted the way it did recently in the UN concerning the crisis in Ukraine.
Netanyahu and Putin seem to be getting along, and this really sucks.
It is a sad day when Russia and Israel are getting closer, while it seems that the U.S. and Israel are doing the opposite. The Arab Spring (muim Brotherhood in Egypt, Islamic extremists almost toppling Assad (who himself is a thug, but not as anti-Israel as the Syrian rebel extremists) really hurt our relations with Israel.
I had the same problem with, “Putin demands Ukraine remove Ukrainian troops from western Ukraine.”
On the other hand, the Ukraine was a part of the Soviet Union for almost a century. The soviets shipped out Tatars and moved-in Russians. Russians have lived there for a long time.

Ukraine has showed great readiness to solve crisis in a peaceful manner. Ukraine follow Geneva agreement. Russia does not.
Russia at UN:
Kiev is in Open Violation of the Geneva Agreement.
They are talking right past each other......

Merkel: “should further destabilisation happen, we will move to a third stage of sanctions”
I feel like we are on the edge of a full-blown war.
