Come on, admit it you miss having this kind of brilliance on television every weeknight, right? Piers Morgan celebrates the NRAs Annual Meetings and their new push to provide clarity on interstate use of concealed-carry permits by employing a little character assassination:

Assassins? Morgans perspective didnt improve much with time, either:

The @NRA is now in paid collusion with gun
manufacturers to arm every single American.
Somebody, surely, has to stand up and stop them?

Hey, its not like a government is forcing everyone within its borders to buy a product from multibillion-dollar corporations, yknow. How did Morgan feel about ObamaCare, anyway? Americans can choose whether to buy firearms or not which is exactly the liberty that the NRA wants to preserve. As far as being an assassins guild, the actual issue is just coordinating reciprocity so that those licensed to carry concealed firearms can travel to other states without inadvertently breaking laws:
With concealed weapons now legal in all 50 states, the National Rifle Associations focus at this weeks annual meeting is less about enacting additional state protections than on making sure the permits already issued still apply when the gun owners travel across the country.
The nations largest gun-rights group, which officially opens its meeting of about 70,000 people Friday in Indianapolis, wants Congress to require that concealed weapons permits issued in one state be recognized everywhere, even when the local requirements differ. Advocates say the effort would eliminate a patchwork of state-specific regulations that lead to carriers unwittingly violating the law when traveling.
Right now it takes some legal research to find out where you are or are not legal depending on where you are, said Guy Relford, an attorney who has sued communities for violating an Indiana law that bars local gun regulation. I dont think thats right.
The existence of these laws already requires some coordination now. Mostly, it requires anyone taking a weapon over a state line to do a lot of footwork beforehand, sometimes overcoming nearly-insurmountable bureaucratic hurdles. It has nothing to do with the sale of weapons, and in this case the owners have already passed background checks and some level of weapons training. The millions of carry permit holders myself among them do not plan on going on ninja missions any time soon, Piers Morgans paranoid fantasies notwithstanding.
The NRA, so far, doesnt seem to be noticing Piers Morgans latest meltdown. (Perhaps they might want to use this to start selling ninja gear at their Annual Meetings this weekend.) However, the NRA has a response to Michael Bloombergs pledge to spend $50 million of his own money against gun ownership with a campaign of their own. They may not have a multi-billionaire spending millions to buy a grassroots network, but they have millions of people willing to part with $25 to match him. Hot Air has the exclusive first look at the NRAs new campaign:

Hit the bricks, loser!
“Those whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad.”
With all the lawsuits going on with people trying to force a state to recognize a same sex marriage from another state (i.e. Texas must recognize a legal contract or document from Washington) I was curious if someone was going to force the left to live by their logic and sue California to force them to accept a conceal carry permit from Texas.
I doubt Piers rates a gods attention, they probably turned him over to a summer intern.
First they will have to get Piers head out of Bloomberg’s
ar$se! That may take a crow bar.
I think that Massachusetts ought to ban itself for looking like a gun.
I just saw an article on Fox News that had a cutout of Massachusetts and it is amazing how much it looks like a pistol. Hand grip and barrel. Just as much like a gun as that pastry the kid allegedly ate into the shape of the gun.
I Demand that Massachusetts remove itself from all maps in classrooms because it looks like a gun and thus will encourage violence among the students.
Peers reviewed.
Hey, Morgan; it’s far worse than you can imagine.
Hey Britt boy, we kicked your butts out of here and wrote our own constitution. If you do not like it do not be so arrogant as to believe that we are going to change it because you want us to. Take your britt ass and get the hell out of our country.
Let us never give this turd in the CNN pissbowl our attention again. He’s a nobody. A total loser and a failure in all he’s ever done. Just like Martin Bashir, he’s not even yesterday’s news.
I don’t care what Piers Morgan says.
I didn’t know that all 50 states now permit concealed carry.
Here! Here! Voting yes, Motion carried.
reading that, i just took a short unintellectual walk off an even shorter piers....
Has the garbage scow returning him to his third world hovel docked in London yet?
“I didnt know that all 50 states now permit concealed carry.”
Some more than others. I think New Jersey has a couple of thousand, mostly retired police and judges, and Hawaii has less than a hundred that are not security guards...
California reportedly has 54,000, nearly all of them in the rural counties...
Then the kid has talent.
I wonder how he would respond if someone were to ask, if gun owners are so bad, why is he still alive and why haven’t we taken over the Nation - we certainly have the firepower and he knows his side would take advantage of such an edge...

Perhaps it is that fear that has him so worked up...
