It's definitely not about tortoises. The BLM is killing hundreds of them.

Desert tortoise faces threat from its own refuge August 25, 2013

Back at the conservation center, a large refrigerator labeled "carcass freezer" hummed in the desert sun as scientists examined the facility's 1,400 inhabitants to find those hearty enough to release into the wild. Officials expect to euthanize more than half the animals in the coming months in preparation for closure at the end of 2014.

More glaring proof that the FedMob is incapable of managing lands or wildlife.

As of Wednesday, 352 cattle have been removed from the public land

That's an understatement at best.

This is calving season and there is no accounting for the calves that have been born and separated from their mothers and those who are yet to be born from the overstressed and driven mothers who will likely die.......

This is a travesty of so called justice!

I can't believe the number of so called conservative FReepers who are supporting the government's attack on Mr. Bundy........

I saw the same thing 30 years ago in an effort to cause problems for a particular type business out of staters with no connection to the locals were imported. U.S. has been this type of thing for a long time.

The Governor should have announced that he has given orders to the State Police and Sheriff’s departments to arrest any armed Federal agent - better yet, ANY Federal agent until this is all sorted out.

Flex a little of that 10th Amendment power (or what little of it remains).

Granted the first few minutes of a fight would look like Tianamen square but after the first few shots & word spread about what had happened it would turn into Custer’s Last Stand with the BLM playing the part of the 7th Cavalry.

Also it wouldn’t stay a Nevada incident as it involved federal agents & lots of dead bodies, there would be investigations cover-ups & politicians sweet heart deals exposed but the guilty in high places being allowed to escape the “Justice System” . What would result is a dirty little war .

I’m not sure, but is that a mushroom cloud in the background? Yeah, that must be the emergency.

RE: it wouldn’t stay a Nevada incident

Good points and it reminded me of thoughts I had when it looked like the feds were going after the Minutemen Project on the border.

You did not have to be there -- there were plenty of opportunities around Anytown, America to express your opinion.
