Cruz: Holder Should Be Impeached For ‘Defying Congress And The Rule Of Law’ In IRS Scandal
CBS DC ^ | 04/11/2014 | CBS DC Staff

Sen. Ted Cruz said Attorney General Eric Holder should be impeached if he doesn’t indict former Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner, who is linked to the agency’s targeting of conservative groups.

Speaking on Sean Hannity’s radio program Thursday, the Texas Republican labeled Holder the “most partisan attorney general the country has ever had,” and added that Holder should be impeached for “defying Congress and the rule of law.” Cruz cited the attorney general’s refusal to indict anyone in the months since the inspector general found that conservative and Tea Party groups were singled out for tax purposes.

Let’s see, Holder complained during a sppeech to a Black group that the questioning was racist. Now that Cruz and Palin are spotlighting his poor ehtics he’ll probably cry to his dog tonight

For me the wording is very important. What he said was “You don’t want to go there, buddy.” T

That “You don’t want to...” part is the key. It’s critical. It exposes his mind set, not to mention his lack of creativity. Apparently in his circles the threat needed no creativity. Now it does.

It begs the question that I really wish he had been asked after making the threat. “Gee, Eric, why don’t I want to go there?”

I’ll bet you could have heard a pin drop if it had been asked (Or a thousand cameras clicking).

He said YOU don’t want to go there? Sounds like he has dirt on the questioner.

Yeh so just do it already.

It's easier to talk about it than do it.

So, how do you know he isn’t also talking this up with some House members? And are you saying it’s not helpful to get some public intertia first?

A lot of changes would need to happen to make this happen.

Republicans would have to take the Senate in November.

Boehner & Cantor would need to be replaced.

Ted Cruz becomes Senate Majority Leader!

You don't see or hear Mich McConnell, John Boehner or Eric Canter confronting the corrupt Obama Administration on any issue!

I don't know if he can be impeached. He should be removed from office and prosecuted. For that matter, he should have never been appointed to that office.

As an aside, how many Republicans voted against his conformation?

"...spotlighting his poor [ehtics] ethics".....Holder's ethics are reserved for his race...he is the ultimate racist.

It won’t happen period!

Holder knows the Senate in changing hands in Nov, that is why he is leaving this year!

I don't think Congress needs public inertia. They have all the inertia they need right there on Capitol Hill.

You know, I see that face and I just smile.

The liberals, the voters, alive and dead, and all the pols and the media, maybe even a lot on Fox, and most of all, the GOP, they’re going to hate him because he’s good, and they have lost all contact with natural law, virtue and goodness. Tey don’t understand it and they don’t believe it and they don’t want to be it.

But the Base and anyone in between who sees a glimmer of hope from all this destruction, which will become more obvious in the years to come, will go for him in a big way.

But like Reagan, no, more so, they will always hate him. He’ll show us how to handle that too.
