The Department of Justice requested $2 million for "gun safety technology" in its 2014 fiscal year budget.

Attorney General Eric Holder explained this request to a House appropriations subcommittee on April 4th.

According to The Washington Free Beacon:

"I think that one of the things that we learned when we were trying to get passed those common sense reforms last year, Vice President Biden and I had a meeting with a group of technology people and we talked about how guns can be made more safe," [Holder] said.

By making them either through finger print identification, the gun talks to a bracelet or something that you might wear, how guns can be used only by the person who is lawfully in possession of the weapon.

No doubt they'll fly off the shelf like Chevy volts. The bad guys can bling the crap out of them and be the talk of the hood.

Safe for WHO?

.... the gun talks to a bracelet or something that you might wear...

THIS is what we have for experienced leadership in this country. A gun-grabbing white-hating racist in charge of our Department of Justice, and a curtain-hanging Muslim incompetent as a pResident.

I prefer “safe” government policy.

Let’s restrict the facist’s federal control.

A gun with a sensor?
Who in his right mind puts their life in the hands of a battery?

I can see this now. You buy a gun with built-in sensor. Seven years later, you hear the noise of someone breaking in your house. You grab the gun only to discover the battery is past its shelf life and is dead.

And when it fails, the lawsuits will follow.

“Btw we also added GPS and deactivation protocols to its capabilities, Mr. President per your request. You can also deactivate more than one at a time, actually all of them at the same, if you want. Yes, we knew you’d be pleased.”

“No one knows about this right?”

“No. No one”

“Thank you for service to this country”.

With that, the President smiled at the scientists ever so slightly so as not to reveal the giddiness and sense of accomplishment that he felt knowing that he would soon be distributing the new mechanism in all firearms within the year.

He then turned his head to the right quickly and nodded at the Secret Servicemen who were standing behind the scientists and nodded turning around quickly and walking away as the shots rang out, the familiar sounds of bodies hitting the floor that he had become so accustomed to uring his administration.

$2M is enough to procure office and shop space, put up signage, and buy a little furniture.

Translation: They want the guns to be where only their goons can operate them. To wit: One of their goons cannot be killed and his/her weapon taken and used for good.

Both the so called American voting majority and the DoJ have demonstrated that they are not on the side of Freedom and Constitutional Government. The "voters" on November 4, 2008 and reaffirmed November6, 2012 and the DoJ when the occupier of the White House installed his goon in the DoJ in 2009. The concept of the Government of the People, for the People, and by the People no longer exists. It will have to be repurchased with blood.

That's what I was thinking too. $2M to the thieves running around D.C. today is a joke.

This has to be a payoff/bribe to someone from Holder.

The next thing you know, the Obama regime will want to put “sensors” on Gibson guitars.

Hmmmm. Nov 6, 2012. Oh yeah. That’s the day old glory came down and only gets to see daylight on July 4th and on Veterans day. I knew that date meant something. Smart guns, like smart phones, will no doubt be “hackable”. Probably not by good guys either. Will the cops be required to use “smart guns”?

You have to have your bracelet to be able to properly tune your axe and for the amps to power up. But no higher than 5 instead of the much desired “11”. :>}

For over 65 years I have been a WATCHMAKER. Still working though down to 50 hours per week.
For over 65 years I’ve been dealing with fate of things worn on the wrists of people, both men and women. Anyone who allows his/her life to depend on the viability of anything worn on the wrist, year after year, is actively trying to commit suicide.
Since the 1960’s (!) I’ve been working on simply wonderful quartz watches and the circuits and batteries that run them.
ANY circuit can and will fail at the moment it feels like it. There is no control over that fact. Circuits can fail after years or, as I have seen, fail 36 hours after installed into a watch being repaired due to a failed circuit.
Do you wear your watch when you go to bed? Could you find you “gun watch” on the dresser in the dark. Ooops, too late, so sad.

LOL! The bracelet will automatically send out a signal telling the government what kind of wood your fret board is made out of and where the wood originally came from.
