Spc. Ivan Lopez vented about a range of subjects on Facebook before his shooting rampage at Fort Hood in Texas, including his outrage at Adam Lanza's mass school shooting in Connecticut.
He wrote of experiencing overpowering fear after an insurgent attack in Iraq and the hatred that consumed him after getting "robbed."

Or at least enough to justify banning guns...
“Iraq war veteran?”
Did he ever see combat?
I believe he did not.
“It is stupid to me that anyone can have easy access to a powerful weapon without being mentally evaluated. This makes the government indirect accomplice... These bastards have perfected their way of attacking studying previous massacres to gain publicity and their minute of fame as a villain. But thanks to Hollywood and the sensational profiling by the media [they] give more power to those intelligent cowards.”
Blame everybody else.
He huffed and puffed online that he saw action in Iraq (shades of Hillary Clinton heroism).
Others in the military deny his claims of traumatic attack.
Maybe he was following in the footsteps of that war hero, John FTA Kerry.
Just a typical run of the mill democrat.
I’ve said dozens of times. The media turns these scum into heros. Pictures all over ALL the newspapers, and TV news. Name repeated thousands of times, with the middle name included.
The next scum sees this and thinks he can be a hero too.
The only answer is
NO photos.
Name given as “Random A$$hole.” Ok, they won’t do that. Too bad. They should.
No printing their manifestos. No letters, no facebook/twitter postings. Nothing. Let them rot without being famous.
None of this will ever happen. The media is making too much money, and the a$$holes who watch the news encourage them to do it.
My brother was a Vietnam vet. He drove a fuel truck in Germany never going near the Pacific until he came back home.
He was obviously troubled to say it nicely. We knew that already because of what he did.
He vented against Adam Lanza? Somehow I think the MSM will ignore that.
It makes me think all the more that he was somebody’s pawn, actually.
It’s my silly reasoning but here goes. Watch some of the old Wonder Woman reruns on MeTV. It’s usually the character who goes on and on about freedom and the American Way of Life that’s the Nazi spy. I have this gnawing suspicion that his higher ups told him to make out like he’s anti-gun and then turn the tables.
“”It is stupid to me that anyone can have easy access to a powerful weapon without being mentally evaluated. This makes the government indirect accomplice... “
Another mass murderer in favor of gun control and universal background checks.
If believe in that crap you MUST be crazy.
So CNN only lets you copy 2 lines? I was under 300 words which is the excerpt requirement.
Lopez lashed out at the Sandy Hook shooter yet proceeds to do similar acts. The medications prescribed altered his state of mind. Mass killers were on meds.
This guy is a loser (You think?). This report is almost as bad. It claims that the argument started when he asked for a leave form (DA 31) and was told to come back later. He then went ballistic.
DA form 31 is available online, you can download it yourself (go to Google). You can fill it out and send it to whomever you want, including the approval authority.
This guy has more serious issues that are not being reported. His supposed complaint about be given only 48 hours to go to Puerto Rico for his mother’s is probably also bogus. The Army reported offered him 10-14 days (normal for such cases), but he turned it down because he didn’t want to miss truck drivers’ school for his new MOS (88M).
This guy was a sick puppy who was slipping through the cracks probably because of the ongoing turbulence within the Army associated with a 10 year war.
I don’t know enough about it to say one way or another but he was a member of the VFW. If memory serves it had something to do with being on a nuclear base at the time. Like I say though I don’t know much about it.
Ft. Hood II was brought to you by those wanting to keep the Benghazi hearings OUT OF THE NEWS that day.. Mission accomplished.
If you served in the Berlin Brigade, then you can be a member of the VFW. The Berlin Brigade was officially part of the WWII 4-power occupation force. I received mailers from the VFW about joining and went to the local post to inquire if I qualified or not, because I did not think that I did. They told me that my service in US Army Europe was not a VFW qualifier, it would only be, if I had been in the Berlin Brigade. I also went in before the end of the Vietnam War, but never went to Vietnam, thus I’m very clear to folks, I’m ‘Vietnam era’ but NOT a “veteran of serving in Vietnam.”
