Jeb Bush to Decide on 2016 by End of Year
MSNBC ^ | 04/06/14 | Erin Delmore

Posted on 04/06/2014 2:41:45 PM PDT by BarnacleCenturion

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush will make a decision on whether he’ll enter the 2016 presidential race by the end of this year, he said during an interview on Fox News Channel Sunday during the 25th anniversary celebration of his father’s presidency in College Station, Texas.

...

He said in the Fox News interview that illegal immigration is, for many people, an effort to provide for their families, and “not a felony.”

“It’s an act of love. It’s an act of commitment to your family,” Bush said. “I honestly think that that is a different kind of crime. There should be a price paid, but it shouldn’t rile people up that people are actually coming to this country to provide for their families.”

Recent polling shows that the Florida Republican would be a formidable candidate: In a CBS News/New York Times poll conducted in February, 41 percent of Republicans said they would like to see Bush run, edging out Sen. Rand Paul (39%), Sen. Marco Rubio (32%), New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (31%) and Sen. Ted Cruz (24%).

So, remind me what your side did to earn our votes again?

Instead of complaining about the base, that is?

And tell us what the GOPe did to reverse the trend towards larger & more oppressive government when they held both houses of congress and the WH from 2003 to 2007?

Since you blame the 2012 Primary candidate selection on the GOP, I’m curious, why didn’t the GOP influence yours or my votes? Who were the candidates again?

Mitt Romney

Ron Paul

Newt Gingrich

Rick Santorum

and those who dropped out:

Gary Johnson

Michelle Bachmann

Herman Cain

Jon Huntsman Jr.

Rich Perry

So you’re trying to tell me that the lack of support by the GOP caused the above candidates to drop out?

Maybe you should look at the results of the 2012 Primary again………:

Romney won hands down and it was a result of the popular vote, not your perceived GOP support………You just can’t come to grips with the fact that the people on the right side of the aisle supported Romney and not YOUR guy………

I "blame" the primary results on the primary voters. The GOP-e simply promoted Romney. They didn't cause the result.

Hey bro, I’ve been here for thirteen years before you even signed up.........You don’t know a damn thing about me.......Access the archives during the Clinton years and you will see what conservatism and this site was truly all about. It certainly wasn’t about nit-picking over my guy is better than yours and if my guy doesn’t win the primary then I’m staying home............Like I said before the PURISTS will be the downfall in the next election just as they were in the past two..........

I’m a lady....

I ask due to your attacking Conservatives as tho being a purist is something bad. With politicians like Obama ruining the country we need Conservative Purists to save the country. Now is not the time to elect Republicans like Romney who are willing to compromise with big govt leftists.

It’s best to just ignore those who think sign-up dates mean anything and attempt to use it as a club. Party line voting is what brought us to where we are in this country, and Lukewarm Salsa just can’t come to grips with that.

Who are these people that they are getting for these polls? I honestly expect there to be a backlash as soon Jeb Bush becomes the mainstream darling. I would expect Rush and other conservative talk show hosts to be fed up with another RINO like this. Is Jeb Bush getting the memo that conservatives DO NOT want him to run?

What about Bachmann, Herman Cain and the others from the 2012 primary? Can’t be any worse than Romney or Jeb

I held my nose and voted for McCain and I did the same for Romney. I’m getting tired of the game and if I have another RINO/lib candidate shoved down my throat in order to attract liberal voters by adopting their views, I’m done. The Republican party has made it pretty clear they’re not interested in keeping my vote.

What kind of crime can we Americans commit that you would term an "act of love" that you would then forgive us for?

Oh that's right. Nothing.

Not true. If you want to murder your spouse, he will support you like he did Michael Schiavo.

Okay, Jeb, so breaking into my country is an act of love and commitment to their families for the illegals. By extension, then, if someone breaks into your house to steal your goods in order to support his family you’re cool with that?
