Democrats said to push for new changes to ObamaCare amid midterm fears

Several Democratic senators reportedly plan to introduce as soon as Thursday a set of principles and legislation aimed at fixing parts of ObamaCare amid concerns the law could cost Democrats House seats and possibly the Senate in November.

Sens. Mark Warner, D-Va.; Mark Begich, D-Alaska; Mary Landrieu, D-La.; Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D.; Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.; and Sen. Angus King, I., Maine, will introduce proposals to improve the law, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Begich and Warner have called for allowing "copper" plans on the government-run health exchanges. The new insurance plans would offer lower premiums and higher out-of-pocket costs than the "bronze," "silver" and "gold" options currently offered.

"I've always been a believer that the law was not perfect, but you should continue to work to improve it," Begich told the newspaper. "People are seeing that as it's implemented, there are tweaks you need to do and there's just nothing wrong with that."

What does that have? A $50,000 deductible?

Funny, ain't it? LOL! Next they'll offer a plan that only costs $750.00 a month, and with no deductible, but it doesn't cover any medical expenses. Just makes you compliant. These libtard stooges are an embarrassment and a serious danger to the country.

These idiots are in the insurance business now?

Terrified that they have finally managed to piss off even the morons that vote democrat, they continue to insult the intelligence of the simpleminded by coming up with yet another scheme, the Copper plan!

Yeah, that will save their bacon, right

I think it’s around $7,500 on the deductible presently.

Years ago, I watched a discussion group where they talked up this significant issue that catastrophic support was what most people needed....when health bills got into the $30k or above range. So they threw out this idea of a deductible of $25k, and I kinda sat there in shock. But the positive is...your monthly cost would have been like $25 for a family. Looking back now, this kinda makes sense....but we won’t dare discuss this type of option.

The insurance companies wanted ObamaCare. They thought it would force millions into the status of "forced customer" at the point of IRS guns.

I have zero sympathy for them,

Agreed 100%, except since insurance is a big, almost all cash business, they've got the money to buy the politicians, and pretty much buy any outcome they want. Look for this to turn their way, one way or the other. I'm sure they're still trying to figure out how to make it happen without coming out to be the bad guys in this.

It kinda makes me happy to have Medicare right now ... :-) ...

With my “Medigap” ... I have no deductibles, no copays, no additional costs or fees ... basically pay nothing for anything.

It won`t be long before Obama and the democrats discover how “unfair “ this is.

This is merely an effort to help their reelection, they don't give a rats a$$ about the people.

They single handedly created this dictate and never tried to address the problems of healthcare. They should rename the different plans as a form of manure: Horse manure, Cow manure, Pig Manure, etc., The name is different but the substance is the same.

Do you remember how CZAR Gosnell Goebbels responded to the suggestion that they try and negotiate a better solution? He said: "I WON THE ELECTION!"

Now is the opportunity to give these dictators the accountability that they have caused the people to struggle with since its inception. as with the aforementioned waste, they should be flushed from office. Oh and how have the voters enjoyed paying double for gasoline since the coup team took over in 2009?

But at least abortions, birth control devices and pills, and sex-change operations will be “free”. That is what’s important after all. Not actual “health care”.

Do you disagree? If so, you are either a misogynist, a racist, or both.

I think they are only opposing the president because he’s BLACK, and these Democrats are simply not comfortable with a black man running the country.

Yep a true government inspired solution. LOL

This is getting comical. How about a plan that doesn’t cover ANYTHING. Just send your money to the government for it so the IRS will leave you alone. It’s called a protection racket.

Don't forget the upcoming "Lead" and "Wood" plans.

Eventually they will come up with the "$hit Plan" which consists of a pain pill and a blank last will and testament to fill out.

How about a “lead” plan? That’s where you pay everything and enter into state slavery while receive nothing in return!

Democrats constantly claim that Republicans have no health care plan of their own. We all know that's a lie. They have a plan, but the media and Dems completely ignore it.

Republicans need to put forth a bill that the media, Dems and Dem supporters just cannot ignore! Tell glowing stories of how the bill will create free health care, at no additional cost! Heck make it FREE for everyone and, while they're at it, cut taxes too! Say it won't be offered to illegals, while at the same time, telling illegals they can apply for it at no cost to them.

Using the Democrat strategy as a guideline, R's can say whatever they want (LIE), while refusing to define how they'll fund all the freebies! Then, when the new bill is passed by Congress, begin to change, delay, extend its features, till it fits their real agenda! That's fair isn't it!

Doesn’t matter what they/she do or don’t do. That filthy corrupt skank is finished in Louisiana this time around. Stick a fork in her....she’s done.

Can’t his majesty Obama just use his pen and pick up the phone and make whatever changes he wants? It isn’t like we live in a Constitutional republic any longer.
