The shooting saved us a trial. Always a good outcome, Councilwoman Lucille Kring wrote on an online thread for residents of the citys Colony District.
The fatal police shooting, as well as Krings remarks, drew dozens of residents to the Anaheim council meeting Tuesday. The relationship between police and residents in the citys dense central neighborhoods has been a hot-button issue for several years.
Donna Acevedo, whose son Joel Acevedo was shot in an officer-involved shooting in July 2012 that fueled days of protests, said she didnt care whether Kring retracted the statements because they reflected how she really felt.
...
Jennifer Garcia, 25, who lives nearby, said a lot of the attention had been focused on Bruno the police dog and very little on Moreno.
Everybody can easily judge [Moreno] but honestly they never knew who he was, Garcia said. He deserves justice as much as the dog does.

Robert Moreno Jr., 22
With tattoos on his face and neck, he would not get too far in any interview ...
He got justice, more justice than he and his Homie friends give anyone else. And I recon the vast majority of people agree with the councilwoman. People are fed up with these low life gang bangers. Had this POS shot my dog, he wouldn't have stayed alive long enough to smile.
Why did the report bring in the statement of Donna Acevedo about her son? It has nothing to do with this.
What this excerpt doesn’t tell you was that he fired first wounded a canine.
Ex con shoots at police gets killed sounds about right to me.
I’m sure the dog had a lot more class.
oh I don’t know, he probably would have luck passing interviews for handouts- Obama phones, EBT, low income housing, reduced utility rates etc...
That POS shot a dog who saved 3 officers lives..Bruno is a HERO..good riddance to this pond scum who tried to take his life
I’m pretty sure that is a Latin king tat on its left cheeck.
I remember a guy with a USN Devil and Pitchfork on his neck in 1990. I said to myself, my, hardcore and there goes any normal life you might have. 24 years later as common as tagged up ladies. Face tats are sooooo 2004.
He’s got tattoos on his face. He is a big disgrace.
“Ex con shoots at police gets killed sounds about right to me.”
Especially a tatted gangbanger.
draggin his name all over da place

Here is the dog who donated blood to Bruno and helped save his life. He is available for adoption.

By the way, Bruno will retire after being released from the hospital (it take a month).
Thanks for the earworm.
Kring is not latino. And she’s GOP just like Tait. Orange County politics is tough to follow even when you live here.
Kring is the candidate of the GOP establishment and the fire association.
Tait is the current mayor and from what I can see he has tried to keep his city from getting rolled by Angels owner Arte Moreno and some hotel corporations looking for taxpayer handouts.
And then there is Lorri Galloway, the Dem candidate for mayor- think ‘Loretta Sanchez’ here, only worse. What Kring is likely to do is to give Galloway the win.
Thanks Pelham!
