When you were a little child and didnt want to go to school, you simply pulled the covers up over your head and said mommy I dont feel well. A sympathetic mother would let you stay home and put off the woes of your world for another day. It was TV from morning to night and you were all smiles.
Every day the real woes of the world, many self -inflicted, come home to roost on the plate of Barrack Obama. Most people only see the recent headlines such as the Crimea-Russia annexation and the various volleyed responses in the form of sanction after sanction. What is not seen or discussed in the main stream media is the continuing saga of the civil war in Syria, the re-ascension of the military in Egypt and the deterioration of the governments in Afghanistan and Iraq. All of this in only one section of the world.
In addition delivered each morning to the plate of the Commander in Chief are such goodies as the increasing costs of healthcare for those outside of Obamas new program, the increasing number of people on food stamps, the rising number of student loan defaults and the all-time low of his popularity level.
Each day the Obama woes keep mounting, until one day the pressure is too much to bear. It seems, every year at this time, President Obama reaches his breaking point, much like the little child desiring to stay home from school. Coincidentally it also is the same time as March Madness when basketball junkies are in their heaven, especially the first weekend.
Unfortunately most Chief Executives dont have the luxury of putting the world on hold and saying Ill get back to you later. As the so-called leader of the so-called free world, issues that have to be addressed are a Presidents continuing responsibility, regardless of the time of year. This President however has learned the woes of the world can be equally balance with a round of golf.
The woes and the golf all go out the window the first weekend of the frenzied 64. Sanctions, annexations, assasinations, foreclosures, unemployment, Obamacare, all take a back seat to the Presidents primary responsibility which is watching the Diaper Dandies strive to put the ball in the hoop.
I can almost hear the annual ritual now.
Michele, I dont feel so well.
What this article is saying is that O’bummer hasn’t grown up yet.
“As the so-called leader of the so-called free world,”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Perfect description, he is no leader and the free world does not exist.
When a “president” has the time to watch so much college basketball that he knows a lot about every team, he’s definitely not doing anything else.
Oh, he’s watching a couple of those serial tv shows and a sports show on tv, too. Don’t forget the golf and the parties, too. They take up a lot of time. He doesn’t spend ALL of his time watching basketball.
Yesterday I heard an Israeli official declare that, "Israel is Americas best ally." It started me thinking.
The US is in the enviable position of having most every other democracy desire to America's BFF or "best ally". Israel certainly is America's best ally in the Eastern Mediterranean. The UK, Canada, and Australia all want to be considered America's "best ally". Japan and South Korea vie to be America's "best ally" in their region. Dozens of other countries, like India, Poland, Georgia, Jordan, and the Ukraine want to be considered allies in their region.
America is like the beautiful girl that everybody wants to take to the prom. And what is Obama's policy towards America's allies? Do I really have to enumerate Obama's distainful policy towards Israel? The UK? Japan is locked in a territorial dispute over the Senkaku Islands with the very nation that the first lady is now ostentatiously visiting. Take that Japan.
Rather than listing all the ways Obama is pushing America's allies away, let me focus on two pending infrastructure projects involving the country that probably is America's "best friend forever" out of necessity, common background, and geography.
There are two large projects pending that, when completed, will bring immeasurable benefit to the USA. The Keystone pipeline is being paid for entirely by a public Canadian company. Not a dime of taxpayer money is involved. This project was stalled during Obama's first term, apparently for political reasons. Now that he has been re-elected and the political reasons are gone, it is still being delayed.
The other project is a new six lane suspension bridge over the Detroit River. Lesser known than Keystone, this project is probably even more important economically to the US as it will ease the movement of people and goods over a vital trade corridor. One that is now very vulnerable. Canada is prepared to build the bridge, and to lend the money needed to build the US portion. The project, on the US side, is being stalled because the US seemingly doesn't have the money to build a customs plaza and freeway connections.
These projects mean real jobs, more trade, more tax money, 650,000 B/D of uninterruptible oil and a chance to open up some oil production from shut in fields in North Dakota.
In the 20th century, these projects would have been finished by now, probably with US investment. In Obama's America these projects sit on some desk in Washington, gathering dust. This is how Obama treats America's best ally and trading and defense partner. When he gets done, the US will be lucky to have any allies left.
You forgot to mention all of his VACATIONS also!!! The man-child is one LAZY person.
Is this a bad thing?
Think of the much greater damage this alien creature could do to the USA if he was more ambitious.
Mustn’t forget all the national security briefings and economy briefing he attends. Those consume all of, what? A few minutes each month?
He never really went in the first place. Attendance for cred.
And you forgot arrogant
You might want to check his daily schedule out if you think he isn’t lazy.
He is the leader of the “Free S—t” World.
He has ALREADY TORN the FABRIC of our once, fine MORAL SOCIETY!!! EVN in his LAZINESS!!! AND Arrogance!!
Putin has already taken him to school.
Of COURSE not!
When he gets there, that bully Putin eats his lunch!
It's up to his eyeballs.
Exactly. I just wish he was more lazy.
He would cause less damage if he would just spend all his time at golf, basketball, vacationing, etc.
