A student at a French-language Catholic school in Canada has alleged that he is the victim of homophobia and has filed a complaint with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
Christopher Karas, the student, alleges that the “the Mississauga Catholic School Board is systematically denying students their constitutional right to form Gay Straight Alliances,” according to a press release from an organization that supports his efforts.
In his complaint to the Human Rights Tribunal, Karas alleges that he was embarrassed when a teacher at his school, École Secondaire Catholique Sainte-Famille, agreed to the requests of other boys not to room with him during an overnight field trip.
Karas also stated that in his complaint that his religion teacher said that “gay people should not be permitted to adopt.”

I'll have to read the Canadian Constitution. I am curious how they phrase the right to form openly perverse groups within religious schools, where the groups violate the religious doctrine of those operating the school. Or is this claimed right in the penumbra like all other liberal fictions?

The thing that may make this legally difficult for the academy is that it isn’t a private/parochial school like the Catholic schools here in the U.S. The school, (and many like it) is funded by public/taxpayer dollars under a legal provision allowing for something called “separate school.”

Christopher believes his rights are being denied. What about the rights of the straight boys? They have every right to refuse sharing quarters with a homo. Hiw creepy!
My solution: The parents of the normal boys should refuse to allow them to go on this field trip. Let the perv's family arrange their own trip for him.

Maybe you could work on getting your politicians to adhere to your constitution and Bill of Rights before they are all gone. I don't particularly relish sharing a border with a fascist state, and that is where you are headed, my friend. You will get there long before we do.
