"...Russian drone technology lags us by about 20 years..."
But they're working on it.

The twenty year old lag story appears to be a junk article.

I’m sure the Iranians did get that jamming tech from the Russkies. We have it too. The Russians don’t have superior drone technology over the US. :-)

What gives Russia the right to intercept a drone flying over Ukraine?
This drone story is BS to a certain extent.
Russia is doing exercises. They are testing their own drones and their technology to take one down. They claim that it was a US drone just to start a fight with US.
To: MeshugeMikey
yeah, my guess is, just like when Iran got one of our drones, this was done by design.
Obama is not about making us stronger, he wants to make the USA *weaker*.

sing along... the hills are alive with the sound of drones...

LOL, a little too much questioning of government supplied information for your liking, Boris.

The US Navy also used QH-50D drones equipped with TV cameras in an artillery spotting role (this version of the DASH was named Snoopy DASH).

What I find interesting are the replies here. Does everyone hate Obama so much, that they believe what Russia says?

Russia has no rationale for putting out a false report on the matter. It would serve absolutely no purpose since the whitehouse would have to either confirm or deny....and there are plenty of folks around.
But for the skeptics, Russia should post the VIN.

I had no idea! Will look into it more and checkout the book.
Thanks for sharing that info, :-)

if Obama sent units to Ukraine, it would have been leaked by now.

So what, just following in Clintoon’s footsteps and serving up US technology under the guise of “shooting down”. Clinton served up a Stealth Fighter in Serbia to the Russians and no one said a thing.
How convenient.
