Funny how you never hear the media tell you that it was a gaffe and the “reset” actually said “overcharge”. But since Hillary is the smartest woman in the world that error is overlooked.

According to an article I read the “reset” button was based on Staple’s “easy” button. The Russians had no familiarity with the advertisement, so it meant nothing to them. It wouldn’t have been funny or appropriate even if it did. Hillary, who had dozens to hundreds of people working for her fluent in written an spoken Russian apparently googled the translation herself. The Russian minister was reportedly not amused and said, “You misspelled it. The word you used is ‘overcharged.’”
Now, what did that misfired joke cost? I’d say anywhere up to $10,000 to have the device designed, a mold made and then parts blown. It was the sort of rank amateur thing that sounds good in the faculty lounge, but does now work in the real world. It clearly demonstrated to Russia they were dealing with an over-indulged, entitled housewife rather than a pro.
