Air-dropping himself into Kiev Tuesday, Secretary of State John Kerry announced that the Russian seizure of Crimea is "not 21st-century, G-8, major-nation behavior." He said Mr. Putin should allow "international observers" to enter Crimea.
International observers?
This calls to mind Humphrey Bogart's Fred C. Dobbs facing the gang of Mexican bandidos in "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre":
Dobbs: "If you're the police, where are your badges?"
Chief bandido: "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges!"
We may assume Mr. Putin would say the masked Russians patrolling Ukrainian Crimea are "international observers."
As of this week, it's official. Vladimir Putin has turned Barack Obama totally into Jimmy Carter....

Actually, it was: “We don’t need no stinkin’ badges!”
Otherwise, it’s certainly an apt quote.
Putin is a 20th Century, rise of the Soviet Union/KGB man and knows exactly what he is doing.
Kerry is a coward, a fool, and a traitor no matter what century he may have lived in.
My rubles are on Putin. My abject hatred is for Kerry.
I know that I can never trust a Communist, but the disgrace is that I cannot trust this so-called American. Bay Hap River flee-from-the-scene coward.
There is truth to this meme. Mostly because I don’t think Obama really gives a hoot about anything other than transforming the US. So foreign affairs are a distraction, an annoyance that he leaves to radicalized advisors.
What I don’t like about this meme is that the R’s are going to get all puffed up and hawkish. And the question the press is going to ask them, appropriately, is “well, what would you do? Bomb Moscow?”
“Carterized” is the newest addition to my vocabulary!

Putin Carterizes Obama. Sounds like some veterinary procedure. The trouble is, there was nothing to Carterize.
I thought we had finished the traitor off with John O’Neill and our group “Vietnam Veterans for a Just Peace”, but this zombie keeps coming back.
Then we put a de-presidenting torpedo up his lying ass when we published “Unfit for Command”, but the Demos like traitors and liars, so “He’ssss Back” like a 25 Cent Whore.
Who was worse is, IMO, still a very tough call. Remember, Carter did his dirty work in only four hears, and has been a pest (as opposed to an elder statesman) for more than a third of a century after that. And, in all fairness, Obama stepped right into a serious recession (which, of course, he processed to make longer and even worse). Carter created stagflation and international decay entirely on his own.
Both sides will get exactly what they want, and the New York Times will trumpet this like it's a victory for Team Obama's diplomacy.
