I’ve read about that proposal or plan.......I have wondered if it isn’t at least one of the reasons that home sales are in the toilet. Why would anyone want to sink money into any urban or even suburban area when the only assurance one has is that the “investment” will lose value year over year as the neighborhoods are destroyed by government policies.

Thanks for the reference. I want to read him in more detail on the topic. I have no doubt different cultures in the same neighborhood rend the neighbors.

In my college apartment 35 years ago, we had a lot of “diversity”. I was a poor white kid so the cheapest apartments on campus was all I could afford. We had a lot of Hispanic and Vietnamese kids and a few black kids.

I put together an outdoor apartment bbq and party, and I worked with a great Hispanic kid to make a party tape. The white kids only liked rock music and pop while the minority kids only liked hip hop and soul.

Together, me and this Hispanic kid put together 3 hours of dance tapes. I pushed him to block the music out in sets. Staggering the songs means every other song would be something that one group or the other would hate, and it makes no sense to dance a single dance and then you have to sit one out,

So we ran our music in sets of 3. 3 rock then 3 soul, repeat for 3 hours.

Well I started that tape off with 3 straight rock and roll songs. Half way into that 2nd song, the minority faction was in full rebellion and some were already leaving the party, with not a single minority kid up and dancing, in spite of my new Hispanic friend trying to reassure them things would be fine. And they were.

Once we got to the soul music, they started coming back to the party and things were rolling by the end of the set of hip hop music. A liberal would say that was proof of our diversity, that things all worked out. All I can focus on is the rebellion caused by music and absolutely NOTHING in common between our two groups.

In the same vein, I have seen anger and frustration in a laundromat when a small group of Hispanic were watching soccer when everybody else wanted to watch NFL football. A small thing, but again, no common ground. Completely different needs. It doesnt work. Whatever the skin color, you need to have one dominant culture that serves everybody or you end up fractured and Balkanized.

Thanks for the reference. I am looking forward to reading his work.

I used to work in a gun shop where some of our best customers were older black men who lived in neighborhoods where civilization had ceased to exist. They were buying firearms to protect themselves and their property from young hoodlums.

Bet they wished they had a bit of “diversity” where they lived.

Hilarious......wholly untrue

Folks who don’t know better are more tolerant

That’s why Yankees lecture Southerners about blacks

Guess which group lives with more?

One of the greatest problems in so many cities are the young hoodlums who think they can beat the law the die young.
