This Roman bankruptcy, as with Detroit should have been done twenty five years ago. Whoever gets the game started will be heavily criticized and hated. The restructuring must be done, in spite of any collateral damages.

Just hand out massive quantities of food stamps. SanFranNan says they do wonders for a bad economy.

Zero sounds like the right amount.

I’ll be in Rome this June and July. I suspect it won’t look like Detroit.

If only our constitution had stated that the federal government is prohibited from issuing debt.

"If only our constitution had stated that the federal government is prohibited from issuing debt."

Ha ha! Yeah, but the Roman ones are nice. Plus, I seriously doubt the ruins in Detroit will be standing 2,000 years from now.
