This Roman bankruptcy, as with Detroit should have been done twenty five years ago. Whoever gets the game started will be heavily criticized and hated. The restructuring must be done, in spite of any collateral damages.

This is the only place to get news anymore. I was completely blindsided by this.
Rome on the brink? Amazing, and it can’t bode well for other major European capitols.

But he stressed the parties "just needed to identify the right amount of money the government should give to Rome". Zero sounds like the right amount.
