World magazine is a magazine that seems to be fairly balanced--the journalists and publisher see the world from a solidly Christian perspective.
The entire article taught me more about the two sides in the Ukraine than any dozen so-called "news" reports on television.

Something is happening now. The live feeds were going all night and into the day until about a half hour ago. The police were massing. Looks like it is coming to a head in Kiev.

What a difficult choice:
The bumbling bureaucracy of the EU, which is slowly crumbling from socialism, or
the authoritarianism & possible police state of Russia.

The response of the Obama administration is to dither on the sidelines while making vaguely unhappy comments.
18 people died yesterday in the riots with hundreds wounded.
Obama’s big policy statement yesterday? That relations with Uganda will be strained due to their refusal to embrace homosexuality.

In reading the article and reflecting on the President's recent announcement that there will be consequences for the violence, I started to wonder what side he will take.
Like the President, Russia is a long time enemy of the United States so he could pick the Russian backed government side.
He may try to curry favor with his socialist buddies in the EU so he may side with the protesters.
But then it hit me...Which side is more Christian? He will certainly go against whatever side is most Christian.
Does anyone know the religious inclinations of the Russian backed government groups or the protester groups?
